Serenade Punta Cana Beach & Spa Resort - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"The room was great. We received an upgrade and ended up with a room that had two bathrooms and two king‑size beds. The balcony was perfect—spacious with a beautiful view. We could see the ocean, although we weren’t very close to it. The room was clean, and the staff responded promptly whenever we made a request."

Barceló Bávaro Palace - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"This is a good value for your money.
The beach is GORGEOUS, the pool immense (although the floors tiles are chipped and missing pretty much everywhere).
All the pool loungers are gone before 9 am but rude/inconsiderate people that just drop their towels and never show up all day: very frustrating, management should monitor and enforce some rules on reserving them.
The food is very average, the specialty restaurants are hard to book and really mediocre, especially the Coral and steakhouse. The sushi/hibachi is not the best food wise, but the hibachi experience is really fun (especially for kids). The Spanish restaurant - la Fuente - is probably the best of them, but again, reservations are really hard to get and the waits at concierge are ridiculous. The buffet food is REALLY stale and mediocre, there's a huge selection but it's actually the same stuff over and over, the breads and any bakery items are very stale.
The lines to secure a table are brutal at peak times.
The staff is friendly and the SPA massages are an absolute must!
The disco club is a stunning venue, but they only play the same 5 reggaeton songs on repeat all day every day, so if you aren't a reggaeton fanatic, it's meh.
The night time shows in the theatre are really well made, kudos to the production.
The activities staff is really great in general!
BEWARE: the "convenience" store has absurd prices. 20$ for a SMALL sunscreen tube, 35$ for a 12 pack of diapers..
All in all, we would return again.

Grand Bavaro Princess - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"Overall, my stay was pleasant. The staff was attentive, and the customer service was top-tier. Even though there was sometimes a language barrier, the staff still did a great job communicating and making guests feel welcomed.
There were a lot of food options to choose from, and the drinks were well balanced. The buffet food was okay, but I found the restaurants to be much better and would recommend making reservations there when possible.
The resort has trolleys that drive around every 5–10 minutes, which is convenient. However, they can sometimes fill up quickly. I personally found it easier to walk to most places rather than wait for the trolley.
One thing to expect is a delay during check-in. Because so many people arrive at once, the line can take around 30 minutes or more. The staff does move as quickly as they can, but it’s something to be prepared for.
My only issue was the cleanliness of the room when I first arrived. However, when I reported it, housekeeping addressed the issue immediately, which I appreciated.
I would also recommend bringing U.S. dollars, as they tend to have more value and are easier to use than pesos in many situations.
Overall, I would rate my experience 8 out of 10. I would return to the resort area again, though I might try a different resort next time."

Ocean Blue & Sand Beach Resort - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"The pool was incredibly clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We especially liked José at the Sensai restaurant. The food was delicious and there was a large variety to choose from. The beach was very large and sand was soft."

Hotel Riu Republica - Adults only - All Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"Our overall stay had some positives, but there were a few major issues that really affected our experience.
First, I want to mention that some members of the staff around the resort were genuinely kind and helpful. Housekeeping and a few employees in the common areas were friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated.
Unfortunately, our experience at the steakhouse near the buffet was extremely disappointing. The service there was awful from the moment we sat down. Our server clearly did not want to be there and was very rude to our table the entire time. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. The food was also very poor. The salmon was served completely burned, and overall the meal was one of the worst we had during the trip.
Another serious concern was the lack of security in the disco. There was no one monitoring the crowd or checking for people who were clearly overly intoxicated. On top of that, many people were smoking inside the club, and no staff members were addressing it. The environment felt unmanaged and uncomfortable.
While parts of the resort and some staff members were pleasant, the poor restaurant experience and lack of oversight in the disco made the stay far less enjoyable than it should have been."
