Old Royal Post Boutique Hotel & Premium Suites
10/10 Excellent
"First the many, many pluses--location, location, location! This hotel is so close to the attractions (Charles bridge--2 min. walk, Prague castle-10 min.walk, Petrin, Astronomical Clocktower) but on a quiet side street which is LOVELY. The hotel rooms are beautiful, everything feels fresh, new, excellent beds/mattresses to sleep on. Our apartment even had a washing machine. The staff is lovely and helpful. The Mondieu restaurant right next doors is excellent and it feels like part of the hotel which makes for easy food options. Close by is a grocery store too. You have to walk to the Petrin rozhledna when you come--it's a bit of a hike but the view is phenomenal!
The single issue is the AC. It works fine but makes pretty bad noise every few minutes, making it a bit unenjoyable to relax. We were told this only affects three apartments so if you are booking a single room, it would not be an issue. In sum, we would 100% stay again, just not in #26 and the other two apartments where this is an issue."
"From the very first step into this grand hotel, we were embraced by an atmosphere of timeless elegance. The staff, with their warm smiles and thoughtful attention, made us feel less like guests and more like cherished friends returning home.
The interiors whispered stories of a glorious past — chandeliers shimmering like captured starlight, velvet furnishings caressing the senses, and each corner a testament to refined artistry.
Nestled in the beating heart of Prague’s Old Town, history unfolded just beyond the door: cobblestone lanes, gilded spires, and the gentle music of the city’s soul.
It was more than a stay — it was a romance with a place. We will return, for part of our hearts now resides here."
"I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was truly an absolute gem. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive—nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Every detail, from the service to the ambiance, exceeded my expectations. I wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch experience.

"The property is well-kept. It is located just under the famous Charles Bridge, and you might expect it to be noisy, but it was surprisingly quiet and safe. The staff is friendly and caring. The hotel provided not only breakfast but also a light lunch, which is tasty and saves tourists a great deal of money. "
"The property was right next to Charles Bridge in Castle district. Felt like we were living in the center of the city. The neighbourhood was quiet and hotel rooms were neat and clean. Staff was polite too."
"The Golden Well surpassed our expectations. It was a a great place to end our European tour. The staff was exceptional and the room was large and comfortable and very clean. It requires a short uphill walk but very doable, even for a 75 yr old pulling a roll-aboard suitcase and wearing a backpack."
An impressive complex with over 1,000 years of history, now a UNESCO World Heritage site, home to the Czech government and the splendid St. Vitus Cathedral.
