"Hotel Nordic is an hotel in Norderstedt, a town just outside Hamburg. My twin en-suite bedroom, which I was able to use as a single room, was fairly basic, but it was more than adequate. The room had a tv, and there was access to the hotel's WiFi. The Continental-style buffet breakfast was excellent with a selection of hot and cold food and drinks. It was reasonably priced at 10 Euros. The staff were very helpful. When I needed more liquid hand washing soap, and also help to get the TV to work, the staff attended to these matters swiftly. Parking for those with cars was adequate. There are plenty of shops, including PENNY MARKT, and some cafes nearby. Transport facilities are good, with modern local buses. The Hochbahn, a sort of Metro train service , which could take passengers to the airport or Hamburg city centre and its harbour, was about 15 minutes walk away from the hotel. A 5 day tourist card for travel on ferries, buses, Hochbahn and S-Bahn trains cost me the equivalent of about £47.50 in zones A and B (adequate for seeing a large part of Hamburg)."

"Love breakfast. Perfect for my finicky 13 year old daughter. Tasted amazing!, especially after 28 hours of travel. Loved swimming too. Service was amazing and so helpful with anything we asked for help with. Came from Idaho and loved every minute. Beautiful inside and outside. "

"Room was renovated. Very clean and beds were comfy. Room was very spacious, which is a rarity these days. Staff were very helpful and nice. We only stayed a night as we were just passing through but definitely recommend. "

"Didn't feel like a hotel. Nobody there to help with anything. Needed a pillow, toilet paper and a fork for a takeaway so went to reception at 20h but nobody was there. Was only given items the next morning which was a bit late by then. Rooms are dated and uncomfortable. Walls incredibly thin so it's very noisy. Mattress was old and soft. Towels were thin. Print on the wall was faded. Depressing."
