"This was a great hotel as it was clean, good room size, breakfast was fantastic (lots of Japanese and Western options) and the hot baths is a bonus! The only downside was that we had to take the bus to get to most locations (which I learned after visiting Kyoto this is a common thing for everyone since the train system isn't as elaborate as it is in Tokyo so I still gave it 5 stars). Overall, for the price and value of the hotel we would stay here again! "

We were lucky enough to have a private onsen with very clean water at the perfect temperature on a lovely little lanai. All of the staff are very friendly and professional and the food is fantastic as well. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a touch of classic Japan in Kyoto!"

"First time in Kyoto and we had the best time in this traditional feeling Japanese ryoken. Staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Their restaurant was traditional, inexpensive and very yummy. No complaints at all, would go back!!! Immaculate gardens around the property, good coffee shop on the parking lots, convenience store close by, close to a major bus route. Absolutely breathtaking neighborhood."
