Although we had a lovely Valentine meal, we were in the public bar, next to the bar which was a bit noisy, table in the restaurant would have been preferred for a bit more privacy. "The spare room was a joke. The bed was completely broken and couldn’t safely hold an adult — totally unusable. The room was filthy, and to top it off, someone else’s dirty socks were still on the floor. I called the owner to try and sort it out, but they were incredibly rude and made no effort to help. Absolutely unacceptable. Would not recommend to anyone."

The staff ensured our stay was relaxed with the most impressive and comfortable bedroom. The breakfasts were quite exceptional, and the grounds were a joy.
If you are happy to stay in during the evenings, a range of light snacks is available and an ‘honesty’ bar ensures you will be well catered for. If you want a more substantial supper, then it is worth giving some advanced thought to where you might eat locally. There are plenty of choices, but booking is advised in a busy season.
For our vacations, we look for history, authenticity, a touch of grandeur and welcoming staff. Bossington Hall exceeded on all fronts, and we very much look forward to returning.
