Marshall Meadows Manor House
10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely lovely place! I’ve wanted to go here for a while for the pods with hot tubs and it did not disappoint! POD was very spacious, a super king bed was amazing! Very modern and comfortable. The hotel itself is really nice and in lovely grounds. We only had breakfast but it was also very good. We are looking forward to coming back!"
Bailiffgate Hotel
8/10 Good
"All over lovely. emaculate and spacious room"
Purdy Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Perfect location for anyone wanting to explore Northumberland. Bamburgh castle is literally 5 mins drive away with the stunning beaches. Seahouses just down the road and Holy Island a short drive. The hotel and its staff is excellent. Given its location next to the A1 it is very quiet. The breakfasts are lovely, plenty of choice and the restaurant food on an evening is excellent. Highly recommend the steak pie or slow cooked belly pork. We cant waitvto go back again."
Newcastle Arms Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed a week & had our dog with us, were made most welcome by the owner & staff. The main dining room was excellent and newly refurbished. Our room was cleaned an linen changed several times during our stay. Breakfast was excellent and great value the service was excellent and even the dog got her sausage. There were several lovely walks for the dog within a short distance & all locals were very friendly. Lost of historic places to visit not to far to travel. Lindisfarne / Holy island. Banborough Castle & Seahouses. The only slightly down was that our room was nest to the road and at this time of year a lot of large grain Lorries are passing through. Also we had a few more stairs as we were at the top. Never the less we really enjoyed our stay at The Newcastle Arms and would stay again when in the area."
The Oaks Hotel
8/10 Good
"Nice hotel, a short walk from the town centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast choice. My only negative point is that the bathroom was tired with noisy plumbing but otherwise I enjoyed my stay."
The Tempus at Charlton Hall Estate

The Garden Rooms

"Very enjoyable stay. Our room was upgraded so we had a hottub room which was amazing."
Beach House Hotel

The Joiners Arms
10/10 Excellent
"A wonderful stay in this beautiful location. Rooms spotlessly clean and comfortable, friendly and efficient staff throughout. We had a warm welcome and a simple check in, our room was ready on time and it was a great, characterful space. Wonderful Temple Spa toiletries to try, soft and comfortable mattress for a great, peaceful night's sleep. We were in a room next to the pub, did not hear any noise at all, with parking right outside. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful, lots of hot and cold options to suit all requirements, served up again by a friendly and efficient team. We ate in the pub, the fish and chips are out of this world, but on this visit we tried the seafood platter, which was excellent. Lots of different options, the food coming from the kitchen all looked wonderful and the place was very busy - I would recommend booking a table if you are planning to eat here, or you may be disappointed! All in all, 10 out of 10 and we will be back just as soon as we are able, bringing our pooch with us, as the place and the people here welcome dogs warmly. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"
