Property was close the train station which was very convenient for check in and check outs. The room was very big but the lighting was more ambient then full on lights not a big deal but something to note

I’m a regular at Middle Park. It’s sited in my favourite part of Melbourne and parking is a breeze. The rooms are well designed and fairly quiet. All hotels start to slide at some point. Things start to break, things get damaged, people take their eye off the ball. I feel like the first signs of this are starting to appear. A poorly functioning showerhead; a door that won’t properly close; dust and dirt in those hard-to-reach areas of the room, a paint chip here, a scratched cupboard there. It’s early days. The hotel and rooms are still fantastic - but will someone do an audit of all of the spaces and ensure everything is up to standard? Or will there be a slide?

Very clean, decent size room central to the city. If you're sensitive to noise, there's a lot of street noise, the soundproofing in the room isn't great, and there were weird noises in the room that I wasn't sure was the AC or plumbing. There would be random smells of either smoke or sewage sometimes. The view wasn't great because I was on the first floor. The stay itself wasn't bad just not amazing.

I have stayed at quite a few luxury hotels and the Sofitel never fails to impress! Unfortunately due to an accident, we lost power, however the generator jumped into action quite quickly, With unprecedented work noise outside due to the accident, I was offered a relocation to another room, however at that time of night I asked for and was provided with earplugs. Eventually fell to sleep and slept well. As an apology, even though it was their fault, I have been offered a free room upgrade with my next stay and you can bet your bottom dollar, I will be back!!
