Hotels near Hoogovens Museum

"Nice hotel in a good area. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Most of the staff were really nice, except for one of the ladies that was at the front desk one morning. We had paid for our breakfast the night before and she didn’t believe us, even though we were showing her the receipt. She was extremely rude about it. She finally said “just go”. Breakfast didn’t have a good variety. Other than the breakfast fiasco, our stay was good. "

"The room we had was very clean, the beds were comfortable, but the ceilings in the room were very low (the room was under the eaves). While my family is of short stature, we were able to stay here, but this room would not have functioned well for a tall person. Also, the entrance to the room was through the closet--very strange layout. Other than that, staff was friendly, it had an elevator and was in a very convenient location near the Haarlem train station, but also near to the Haarlem tourist area---overall a good location if you are traveling by train."

"The room given to us was the ‘modern wing’, meaning built in the seventies(?) and ready for a renovation. It takes three elevators to get your luggage to your room. A little much for an overnighter. I guess better than having to take the stairs. The restaurant was fully booked for that night. In hindsight we didn’t mind cause it smelled stuffy walking through the restaurant on our way to the outdoor terrace. "

"Hostel is quite a way out of Haarlem and next to a busy road but on arrival we discovered we had been given a room at the back facing the park - much appreciated as 4 cyclists on a cycle/touring holiday. Lovely friendly staff . Had some snacks from the bar and there was a lovely brazier to sit around in the garden . Met some friendly Dutch and Americans. Breakfast adequate for our needs ."
