This used to be a 5 star hotel but badly needs refurbishment. It looks like it has had no maintenance for ages. The wooden slats are rotting and dont feel safe underfoot. The doors dont close properly and the shower/bath are really worn out. So in the end you get what you pay for. A pool villa for this price is unbelievable but this resort is really three star at best. There is a very ordinary a la carte breakfast and no food available at lunch and very little at dinner. There is no activity program. Took the shuttle to town to eat. On the plus side the staff are amazing. The villas are large and therefore you can spread out which suited me as it was raining all the time and i needed to work. If you can skip the private pool you are much better off being in town at Anantara for a similar price.
