I booked and paid extra for a sea view room with a balcony at Pharos Hvar Bayhill Hotel, and was given a cheaper room facing a neglected backyard — no balcony, no view. They admitted the sea view rooms were sold out but refused to refund the price difference. That’s not a misunderstanding — it’s fraud. The hotel is understaffed, with only one receptionist during check-in. My room’s AC didn’t work, and the front desk initially dismissed my complaint. After insisting, they confirmed and eventually fixed an electrical issue. The place is noisy, not well maintained, and cleaning is minimal — beds are made, but bathrooms are untouched. For what they charge, the experience is completely unacceptable. Do not stay here. They take your money and don’t deliver what you paid for.

We went to the Pharos Hotel on a girls holiday, the hotel was fantastic for our trip for 3 nights. The location was a 5-10 min walk from the centre so absolutely perfect for walking there in the evening! Beds were comfy and rooms had everything we needed. The hotel had great vibes and I would definitely recommend for a young group!

We loved this hotel. Great location, walking distance from shops, bars, clubs, beaches and the port. The hotel was very clean, staff were so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was very delicious and great pool and view.
