"A blessing by chance. We missed our stop at Mykonos and had to detour to Ikaria. On the spot booked this hotel. We arrived and throughout our stay, we fell in love. Irene was the most sweetest and helpful person. The people of the town, also so nice and friendly. A beautiful hotel, accommodating, and a simple nice breakfast. "Hotel Anthemis is a family run/operated hotel located in the heart of Therma. Rooms and common areas are cleaned regularly and fresh linens/towels provided (every other day). Hot water can be tricky in winter months as the solar powered water heaters are the source. You may want to avoid taking showers late at night or early in the morning, unless you like cold showers. "It’s a remote beautiful property, can’t really walk to anything. Internet connection works in the room & on the property throughout. Absolutely NEED a car to go anywhere. I’d put dark curtains if it were my hotel since as the sun rose, it woke me up way earlier than I wished… I’d also not charge for breakfast & make available lactose free yogurt & milk.
