"This property was absolutely lovely. We booked late on our night of arrival, past 11pm, and the owner, Gino, was waiting for us when we got there. "We stayed three nights at Roaz de Bandeira House. It was very close to the train station and only a 15 minute walk to the waterfront and ferry to the nearby islands with beaches. Our hosts were very friendly and gave us a wonderful orientation to the area. Breakfast each day was delicious and very generous."

"The staff were great, rooms were really nice and clean. Small things were not so great, like the pool would sometimes not be clean (although that could be because of the wind) and our en-suite coffee mugs were not replaced after we used them. All in all, really enjoyed our stay and would stay again happily."

"Our room was a decent size with balcony. Great shower & big bed!! Pool area was great, just what we needed to chill for a few days. Walkable to the Bouganvilla shopping centre with designer outlets, restaurants and pubs like the fabulous Cheeky Pup!! And a short drive from all the great beach restaurants like Maria’s, Julia’s, Izzy’s etc. Staff were all lovely and so helpful - many thanks!"

"My daughter (aged 9) and I have just returned from a lovely week at Domes Lake Algarve and she is already asking when we can go back. The hotel is a great balance of big, but not too big. We were there mid-August (which I imagine will be one of the busiest weeks of the year) but always managed to find sunbeds when needed and the sand pool is a genius concept. My daughter also loved her sessions at KiEPOS (kids club) which gave me some time to relax and enjoy the spa. A great week all round. "

"Beautiful resort with a very calming vibe. It’s very big but never felt like there were lots of people around or overcrowded. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Large variety of options at breakfast. The only issue we faced is that it’s quite far away from anything, the nearest shop for amenities is a 25 minute walk away, and you need to get taxis everywhere as there isn’t anything in walking distance or any local transport options, although the resort offers free drop off/pick up at the Marina 3 times per day. Would highly recommend for a relaxing and luxurious break. "
