It was ok, the cottages need severe upgrading. Maybe even a better layout. Need to provide more kitchen items , paper towel , wash and drying towels for dishes etc. smelled like mildew and mold in the cabins and restaurant.

The staff was super nice, check-in was easy and the breakfast was good What we didn't like about the place: everything was pretty old and not very clean, the backyard was shabby and the beds were hard and uncomfortable.

Good location with its own private beach, free breakfast. The room is spacious and clean. The resort seems to be understaffed, there is only one receptionist taking care of all the checkin/checkout as well as guest request, and only one waitress for breakfast service

This property is avaolutely adorable and the staff were so friendly and accommodating! This was out first ever trip to Cape Breton and the staff definitely made it a warm and welcoming experience. On top of that, the cabin was beautiful and falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean was amazing. 10/10, thank you!!

The grounds were spacious and lush. Right on a tranquil beach at which sunrise was amazing Pub below restaurant was fun and attracted interesting patrons. Front desk was flexible and accommodations re: our room. Breakfast was just continental. I like a bit more options.

Even though the owner had stated that this is their 2nd year management and the property had not been maintained well during Covid-19, our stay experience was indeed affected by many negative factors.

The property is still recovering from hurricane Fiona so there are still some areas that need rebuilding, but overall this is a nice reasonable place to stay. Location right on the ocean can’t be beat!

The ocean view and the closeness of the water was incredible. The rooms are older but clean and tidy. the pillows and bedding were fabulous however the beds are beyond hard so tough to be comfortable. Our TV did not work as all and was all unplugged with connection cables not working, love our TV so was very disappointed in that area. The food was great in the pub, entertainment was great. Would be really nice to have private fire pits instead of sharing with a bunch of partying kids. Felt it was a fairly good stay and we liked the layout as well.

Property was in disrepair and required a facelift. However, management alerted guests to this issue with a written update in the rooms, noting renovations are underway. Scenery was exquisite and staff very friendly and welcoming !!!

The room was too hot, the bathroom needs to updated, stain in tub, bathroom ceiling needs repairs, bathroom door would not shut. They do have very nice towels and linens. Breakfast was disappointing, as no social distancing, too many people touching utensils, offer pot, etc.

Place is in need of a lot of updates which apparently were going to start right away. It was clean and right on the beach which was nice. The restaurant wasn’t very good and service at the restaurant was bad. The pub was better but they were running out of food. Could be a very nice place with updates and better food and service.

Location on the Cabot Trail was excellent, rooms were very, very clean, sheets and towels were Snow White, no stains in rooms, friendly service. Great place to stay especially during the pandemic.

If we go again ( in summer time ), we’ll ask for the cabins close to the water. Didn’t like being on first floor because kids were running and jumping all nigh night above us. Also didn’t like the location of our room, back of the hotel / motel.

Looks promising!
The room was fine, but a bit rustic. They are planning a major renovation over the winter when they are closed, so that should address some of the condition issues. There was no sugar or creamer for our coffee machine. The restaurant closed early, but fit us in.

I have stayed at Glenghorm many times over the years and even attending a wedding weekend here years ago, when it was at its prime. To say things have gone downhill would be an understatement. The previous owners pretty much ran these accommodations into the ground. As of June 2020 the resort is under new ownership.....thank goodness cause it really is on its last legs. Literally falling apart. Upon checking into the room there was a note from the new ownership recognizing the properties lack of care from the previous owners and stating their promise to make changes & upgrades. I truly wish them the best and look forward to seeing the improvements because as of now, if things don’t change I would never stay here again. There are much much better accommodations in Ingonish. Best of luck!!

covid 9 trip
great location and right on a private beach.From our room we had a great view of the water and of Cape Smokey.Room was clean and bed was comfortable.Room had a balcony and we could sit out and see the ocean.Breakfast was good and the area was very clean.In all it is a nice to stay but does need a littlle fix up like near beach area.

Very slow checkin. Told our room was ready but waited outside the room for 1/2 hour while the maid finished. Very limited options for those who are gluten intolerant. Observed staff either not wearing masks or walking around with it hanging from their ear. Would i stay here again - probably not.

There was less than half a roll of tpilet paper left which we didnt notice till 11pm. There is no phone in the room to call the front desk. The t.v are way out dated, also the satalite didnt even work so not able to watch anything. Seemed to be no wifi or at least we were not told of any or provided a password. Other than thoes few things that can easily be fixed the location is perfect and super kid friendlu with a great beach.

We stayed here in aug 15th, upon entering our room we were greeted with the smell of mould and mustiness. Rust in the tub and for the first few minutes of running the water in the tub it was brown. Evidence of mould in the closet and bathroom. We needed to keep the doors open to try and air it out. We paid 146.00 for the night but given the conditions I believe the room should never of been rented out to begin with. Didn’t get to speak with anyone at the reception desk concerning my dissatisfaction as no one was around. I emailed them but no response. Thumbs down👎

Our stay at amazing Ingonish Beach!
Excellent location, great staff, amazing view! The location is under new management and they are making upgrades - we had some issues with water in our check in room but the front desk staff was most helpful with a move and an upgrade! Definitely want to come back!

Rooms were very outdated and bed was like sleeping on a concrete pad. For the amount that was paid for room, I expected a little nicer. Pillows and towels were nice, that’s about it!

One night stay.
Central spot to stay along the trail. We were there on a Wednesday and pub was closed as well as most other places to eat due to varying circumstances. The place is a bit dated. Bed was uncomfortable but we were just there for one night. Staff were friendly and we had early checkin which was nice and great to be on beach

The service and room were excellent however the restaurant staff were badly overworked and we had to wait almost an hour until our meal arrived. They had suddenly gotten much busier and unfortunately their air conditioning had failed in the dining area. So the poor waiter had to wait about 20 or so people by himself while cooking in record high temperature with no AC. He did an admirable job and said all the right things in apology so I left him a and the staff a $20 dollar tip. Good people go a long way in making up for sub par service. Keep your waiter.

Staff were very friendly. Location was good and view from the beach lovely. Food in the restaurant was also good. Some maintenance and updates required to the property, but given the timeline before opening (from Covid restrictions) it is hard to be too critical of that. I'm not sure I would want to sink a ton of money into it this year, if it were my place.
