We loved our stay at the Columba Hotel! The staff was friendly & helpful. The room was clean & cozy. The bed & pillows were really comfortable . We’ve been to other hotels where the pillows were ultra thin. Sounds silly , but the thin pillows affected my sleeping. One thing I loved was how peaceful the rooms were, you couldn’t hear other guests. We also had a great view of the river.

This visit our room decor was more modern. I really enjoyed the classic look from our last visit. The toilet did not work properly so that was a minor inconvenience. We asked for maintenance to bring a tool, but we needed to checkout prior to him arriving. Our room did not come equipped with a mini fridge, which we have grown accustomed to having. The reception staff was wonderful each time. The view of the castle was the best part, it was gorgeous!

A stunning example of how supply and demand works…. Great location, but an incredibly tired property for the price point. Bluntly speaking, the whole place could use a major remodel, it’s super dated and the floor plan / corridors are somehow confusing, which is nuts for a property of this size. The bed is ok-ish, the bedding is light and the pillows are sub par, but we slept. Regarding the room, the carpet was kinda gross, the bathroom is adequate, the TV is tiny and the decor is bland at best. Had to go to the front desk to get some toilet paper as our room had none when we arrived. View of the river & castle is cool and it’s a convenient location for the city center. In summary, if I’d spend half the money on the hotel, I’d still have all the same critiques, but with a bit more understanding…

Our room was nice, the floor was a little unlevel as with is keeping with an old building. The reception staff was helpful and Stephen in the bar was super friendly. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to anyone staying in Inverness. The location was excellent for city centre and the local attractions.

We only had a one night stay here, but it met all our needs. It was a great stop very close to city center and where we got on our tour bus. Large bedroom with a king bed. It is an older hotel so some age shows on the carpet and such, but it also added character.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. We chose it for that but were very disappointed in our stay. The rooms need drastic renovation. The furnishings were old, in poor shape, and not clean. The tv did not work and we couldn’t close our window. The manager rebooted the tv. That took 30 minutes. We paid for our breakfast but found the tour group already ate it all. Save your money. Go elsewhere.

Room stunk. Small. Breakfast was pretty below average for most hotels. Lots of nice cafes around. Much better to go out. Parking “reimbursement” is just a voucher for the pub next door so do that we’ll be fore you leave. I’m sure there are better options for slightly more money.
