Great place to stay. Clean and charming hotel. Friendly staff and their breakfast was really good. Its close to town and within walking distance. Parking is not great and was hard to find. Otherwise everthing else was great and we would stay there again.

Awesome stay

Perfect place to spend few nights in Inverness. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Room was just enough for two persons! Location is absolutely perfect, close to everything and just by the river. Can surely recommend!

Excellent room, good restaurant, great location. BUT—-inadequate hot water. Staff tried to help, said it was an old building and they are waiting for permits, but probably a new water heater is needed.

Great location in Inverness. A lovely historic building - be aware, no lift/elevator. Rooms were small but clean and comfortable. The main floor and halls smelled very strongly of curry due to the Asian restaurant on the mail floor, but fortunately the smell didn't penetrate the rooms. The staff were very nice - a young man stood outside to save us a parking spot nearby -he was a star to a weary group of travelers.

Room was very clean and beds were super comfortable. All of needs were met. Shower stall is tiny but water pressure was strong. Towels were clean and fluffy. Soaps were lovely. Wish we had had some help w luggage to room. No cleaning service on weekends. Location was superb.

The property was clean and perfectly located for us. It was quiet and away from the main streets yet close enough for a quick walk. Rooms, beds and bath were clean and roomy. The staff was kind and helpful. The only word of caution I would say is there is an Indian food restaurant at the bottom of the hotel. The smell of the food was very strong and even permeated up to the rooms. if you have an aversion to strong spiced foods then this might not be the place to stay

A friendly welcome on arrival, and attentive service throughout my stay. The bed was comfortable, and an excellent breakfast was included in the Expedia rate. The only issue was that the shower in my room was a very tight space, and it took 4-5 minutes to receive hot water each morning, but it was not a big problem to wait. The hotel is well located next to the river, about a 5 minute walk from the city centre. On street parking nearby is free overnight between 5pm and 10am, and all day on Sunday. This hotel has COVID-19 safety measures in place, which made me feel safe.

Room was very cold, hard to control the heating. Cleanliness was ok, bathroom was extremely small. It was a pretty outdated hotel. Walls were a bit thin as there was a dog staying down the hall and we could constantly hear it’s crying and barking throughout the night.

Room wasn’t very clean. Beard/body hair all over the window ledge on arrival and the bathroom smelled musty the whole time. A lot of noise from the rear of the building - kitchen/plant etc, too noisy to have a window open. Whole hotel smells strongly of Indian food due to the attached restaurant downstairs which is open plan so odours travel up the stairway/hallways. Wouldn’t stay again or recommend. Great location to explore the town centre though.

Room was too small and the windows need proper blackout curtains. The blinds were insufficient - I was awakened by the morning sunlight at 4 AM. Also, room was too warm and I needed to open the window, but this then allowed the smells and venting from the kitchens (2 restaurants on main level) into the room. On the good side, the bed was comfortable and the room clean.

The staff is very friendly. The carpet in the room is very dirty. There isn’t A/C in the room. The bathroom has a corner shower, which is very small. The showerhead is low pressure and it doesn't release Enough amount of water. There is a aroma of curry everywhere.

Great location, historic, but...

The hotel is historic and beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable. The woman who checked us in was nice. The only drawback (for us) was the fact that the first floor is a restaurant and going in and out causes you to walk through sometimes overwhelming spicy food smells. The room did not smell like food, so it wasn't much of a problem for us, but it could be for others. The location is fantastic and we had a nice 3 night stay, but really only were in the room to sleep and shower.
