Clean hotel in a quiet street in Ipoh New Town (not the more bustling Old Town). Hotel manager was friendly and gave us a walkthrough of all the major attractions in Ipoh using a map. Plenty of car park spaces in front of the hotel and v easy to get a GrabCar. Breakfast spread was modest but still filling.

Was surprised how spacious the room is and things are really clean with water filter system in the room and main dining area. Service was really great. Will definitely stay here again if we are back to Ipoh.

Good & Friendly Hotel
Smaller style boutique hotel fairly centralized. ALL members of staff were extremely friendly especially Debbie who I assumed was the owner as she was also helpful. A quaint Breakfast was included in our stay. Definitely would stay again & highly recommend Bedrock Hotel 👍

Great value, so comfortable.
Location was fab. In new town, very near lots of traditional eating places as well as a modern precinct with lots of food choices. 15 mins walk from old town. Hotel is beautifully decorated. Lots of seating and art on common spaces and in rooms. Our room (201) was huge. The bed was large and so comfortable with good quality linen. The bathroom was also large with a bath and shower with good water pressure and two sinks. Staff were helpful. Debbie greeted us with lots of good recommendations. Ji (sorry if spelt wrong) was also great in getting us a cab to the caves (only 10 MYR) and explaining the Grab app. Deserves the many awards it has been awarded

We had a very nice 3 night stay at this hotel. Breakfast was fine, staff were very friendly and helpful, a/c was excellent, bathroom and shower were great, bed was large and comfortable. Very convenient to restaurants, a reasonable walk to old town. Grab is very cheap if you don’t want to walk there.

Very comfortable place to stay in Ipoh
Good location in the city centre. A short walk to two famous Ipoh Tauge chicken shops, desserts shops and local delicacies shops. We bumped into a furniture and decor outlet like IKEA across the road. We had some pretty good buys due to the anniversary sales The owner and staff at the hotel were very helpful when we check in, check out and during our stay.

A gem of a hotel...
...in the new town area of Ipoh, less than a 15mins drive from Ipoh airport. Upon arrival I was warmly greeted by the staff, and Debbie was the perfect host. All the recommendations were spot on for what I was looking for. As a solo traveller this was very much appreciated as Debbie knew what would be ideal for me, and so it was! Breakfast was east or western and was prepared on demand, along with a selection of pastries. And the rooms were comfy and spacious, with water and coffee machines. Walkable to the old town and the lanes (20 mins), and less than a 10 min walk to the pedestrianised area with restaurants and shops to stock up on gifts for back home, plus the famous Ipoh white coffee! Plus a two min walk from the Woong Kee bean curd stall! After having left an item in the taxi to the airport, Debbie and her team got it back to me in Singapore - hand delivered once I managed to track it down. The team went above and beyond and provided a truly end to end service. I would definitely stay here again.

We wish we could have added another night to our 2-night stay but due to national holiday Bedrock was fully booked. It is not surprising because the boutique hotel is truly a gem in Ipoh. It other unique feature is if you are into Geological rocks… this hotel is a must for you! Firstly, upon check-in the owner Debbie instantly showcased her genuine and sincere warmth to us to welcome us to her hotel. We simply love her enthusiasm, energy and charming personality. Her team member including Yee was excellent and enjoyable to talk to. Room was a very good size for a boutique hotel and bed was king size and came even with two comfortable bolsters! Showering unit is excellent, has nespresso unit plus one of the only unique in-room instant cold and hot water dispenser anywhere! Cozy and quiet unit and the decor was tastefully designed and very functional. Debbie was simply very helpful and her warmth personality made you want to truly explore and experience Ipoh even more. We truly love our stay and would highly recommend Bedrock.

We are a family with 2 children (4 yo and 7 mths old baby). The water dispenser in the room was very convenient for us with little children. Location is also very near many good food. And finally, the staff / owner was extremely accommodating and helpful. We felt very welcomed and look forward to staying here again.

The bed is the best. Super king size bed. And it feels very intimate. You can access to everywhere of the hotel like you're home (except other people's room). They have very nice deco in the room. Just one down side is the water pressure not too strong. Other than that, all good.

Bedrock Hotel is within walking distance of many popular F&B outlets and the historic Ipoh Old Town. The rooms are large and the service is fantastic with owners Chong and Debbie always ready with advice on places to go.

Hidden gem - above and beyond expectations
The staff at Bedrock make sure that your stay is as comfortable as possible and are happy to share knowledge of Ipoh to ensure you get the best experiences. The hotel is also in a quiet location but still close to town making it easy to get around. It was also very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and would want to stay here again.

Good location and is within walking distance to Ipoh old town (about 15 mins) and less than 5 mins walk to the restaurants located in Ipoh new town e.g. bean sprouts chicken. The restaurant owner is very friendly and can answer all your questions about Malaysia. Will definitely stay again when I visit Ipoh next time.

This is only a small hotel but it tries to offer a memorable stay. The in-room espresso machine and water dispenser (hot and cold) is a lovely touch. Good selection of tv channels (particularly if you are a sports fan). We had a front facing room and it was quite noisy and the curtains are not blackout ones so the advertising lights from outside was a little irritating. The street wakes up early so little chance of a lie-in. The staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast was simple - we were offered eggs, sausages, hash brown, beans and chopped tomatoes. You can have bread/toast/croissaants, cereal and free flow tea or coffee. Will stay here again if we are in Ipoh.
