Disappointing -We Didn’t Stay

We didn’t stay at hotel as we left. Carpet was ‘unsettling’, furniture damaged, and AC not working very well. Staff were very sweet and understanding when we said we were leaving. They even paid for our Grub/Uber to the Travel Lodge (15 minutes ride). Hotels.com were very good too although we got our next Hotel at A$35 cheaper going direct through the hotel than through Hotels.com

Reception and general hotel staff were always open to assisting with any issues/provide information in relation to Ipoh based activities/food, etc. An initial difficulty with our room was swiftly dealt with by allocating another room with no fuss. Staff of course have no control over underinvestment, but more than ready to resolve any difficulties to the best of their abilities. Restaurant staff, not quite as obliging!

The family room was of a decent size, could easily accomdate three adults. The room and bathroom condition was modern and very clean. Limited amenties in the bathroom but good water pressure for a shower. Breakfast was simple but adequate and tasty. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall a pleasant one night stay, would come back again.

The room is clean and spacious. Facilities look good. The only drawback of my room is that it's at a low floor and so the sound of traffic is relatively loud. It didn't affect my sleep but my wife complained about it.

The free WiFi internet is very weak and slow. Exceeded the daily WiFi allowance without any heavy web browsing. The worst part is the loss of last day WiFi internet access privilege while you are still physically sleeping on the hotel bed before checking out!!

1) cleanliness: the ventilator hood in wash rooms & behind the television wall mount was covered with dust clog. I have advised the front desk for that, NO FOLLOW UP. Eventually, I get hold of the housekeeping staff, and that was cleaned immediately. 2) location: the hotel is near to 3 temples within walking distance that is true(Sam poh tong, Nam Thean tong, Kuon yam tong). But the concern is they where on the other side of the highway, and there is not crossing facility. As safety is a concern we have a Grab taxi of RM 5 just to across the roads in 600M distance.
