"It’s a Hyatt Regency, and this one is very consistent with the high standard of the brand. My only quibble is more about Irvine, which is so car-oriented. You can walk from the hotel in the sense that there are sidewalks, but there is nothing - stores, restaurants, etc. - within walking distance. Just a couple office buildings (great if you have business with JP Morgan, Charles Schwab, or K&L Gates). And the $42/night parking fee is probably consistent with the market but it’s a pretty captive market given the car dependence of the area. It’s Irvine. Would be nice if their little shop had less usurious prices. But "

"The directions to room in Silo were confusing and i explained i was with my mother in a walker and needed to understand better. She was less than helpful. The room window was literally 15 ft from traintracks that had trains going by till 11pm which would rattle the windows and was super loud. Neither us slept till they stoppee going by. The shower wouldnt stop dripping all night loud enough to hear in the room and there were broken tiles in bathroom. For the price it was fine for 1 night but wouldnt recommend staying there."

"I’ve stayed at this hotel several times over the past few years and, until recently, never encountered any meaningful issues. That changed this year, and my most recent experience raises serious concerns. During a stay in early March 2026, my family and I experienced significant room issues, including excessive, unregulated heat and persistent structural-type vibrations that made the room difficult to occupy. This was not a minor inconvenience. While staying in room #213, the primary bedroom became extremely hot despite the air conditioning running. My mother, daughter, and I began feeling physically unwell in the room, including lethargy and noticeable temperature dysregulation. At one point, I lay on the floor trying to cool down, but the heat persisted to the extent that I considered seeking emergency medical care. At the same time, we experienced a pulsating sensation in the floor along with amplified mechanical noise. I contacted the front desk multiple times, and maintenance later came to inspect the room and confirmed both the excessive heat and the vibration and noise conditions. During that inspection, we were informed that the room is located directly above the hotel’s laundry facility, and I also observed a storage room immediately adjacent to the wall of the primary bedroom. We were told laundering would stop around 10:00pm, but it continued until approximately 11:30pm, and even after being told it had ceased, the heat, vibration, and noise persisted throughout "

"I do not understand why I there is a $30 parking fee when there is no garage or security gate and plenty of parking spaces! I think the hotel chain should disclose these charges to prospective guests before they make a reservation."
