"My husband and I had an absolutu fantastic stay here for 3 nights - it's the perfect base to explore the island while being located close to Ishigaki centre for great food options and amenities. The swimming pool was a fantastic length to do laps in, and the buffet breakfast was delicious with lots of western and Asian options. Our room was spotless with a beautiful view over the ocean. We will definitely be coming back to stay again! "

Location wise, the hotel (if you donโ€™t have a car), is pretty far from the port and main market, about a 25 minute walk. Overall though a great option and priced well."

ANA InterContinental Ishigaki Resort by IHG

ANA InterContinental Ishigaki Resort by IHG

8/10 Good
"Very expensive and sadly there is a class system. Hotels.com advertised 3 pools but we could only use one which was not ideal and not enough sun beds. Paying ยฃ330 a night we wouldnโ€™tn expect to be the โ€˜lowerโ€™ tier of guest. However, we loved our room even though no balcony and the food was incredible. Chinese restaurant was permanently closed though, again this was advertised as open. They could do with a lounge bar for the lower tier guests. Beach could do with a clean up, a lot of washed up rubbish and plastic plus random cargo boxes left to rot."

"The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast line became very long and was time consuming and especially difficult when we had activities planned for the morning. The breakfast buffet was also very crowded. The dinner buffet was delicious but was rather expensive t $27.50 per person which did not include soft drinks. The hotel is family friendly which is great but the pool and the onsen were over run with children. I donโ€™t have anything against children but it was crowded and children outnumbered the adults. I was there in July. After talking to other tourists I found that there are some hotels that have adult only pools which may have been nice just to allow space to sit and relax."

"Staff was very friendly and the room was clean. The property grounds and pool are very nice. The beds and pillows are hard as a rock so sleeping was less than comfortable. The room was also very warm even with the air conditioning set at 19C. We had to use the stand fan and dehumidifier the entire time so that was less than desirable. The breakfast buffet is overpriced at ยฅ2800 per person for what was offered. Not very many options for foreigners who donโ€™t eat traditional Japanese breakfasts. Coffee in the room in addition to tea would also be nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay despite those minor things. The onsite Yakiniku restaurant was very good!! "
