"This place is wonderfully maintained. The staff is wonderful. Mike (Miguel) and his crew made our meals absolutely amazing. We got a room with a private pool and it was worth every penny. We also booked an affordable and wonderful massage. We met the director of the hotel who was very amicable. Very centric. The beach was wonderful. We will definitely recommend and go back. "
"Overall, we had a very good stay and would recommend this hotel.
The location depends on what you are looking for. It is quieter and more private than staying near the town center, which can be a plus. However, walking to the center takes time and often requires taxis, which adds extra cost. There are still some nearby restaurant options within walking distance.
One of the strongest highlights is the hotel’s infrastructure and design. The property is beautiful and well maintained overall. Cleanliness was very good, and the staff was friendly and attentive. We especially enjoyed the beachfront restaurant at the beach club—great food and reasonable prices in a very nice setting.
The room was comfortable, although slightly below expectations for the hotel’s category. Some small details could improve the experience, such as better placement of towel holders, more seating, and a central light switch system.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay with only minor areas for improvement. We would recommend it, especially for travelers looking for a quieter beachfront experience in Holbox. "
"Our stay at Aldea Kuka (in March 2026) was an amazing experience and we can’t wait to return. From the moment we arrived, every detail—from the beautiful natural setting to the impeccable service and our spacious accommodations—exceeded our expectations. Here’s what made this trip so unforgettable for our family:
Staff: The staff were the most professional and helpful we've encountered, arranging seamless tours to the mangrove and advising on local walks and hikes. The cleaning service was immaculate. The serving staff were incredibly friendly and professional, and the chefs were outstanding. The breakfasts are something we still daydream about as a family!
Location: The private beach was amazing, with crystal-clear water and spectacular grounds. The hotel merges beautifully with nature, offering plenty of shaded seating, beach beds, and loungers that can be adjusted for sun or shade. The pool was wonderful to lounge by and was never crowded and always easy to relax.
Rooms: We stayed in the Presidential Suite with a loft and two bedrooms, which was perfect for my spouse and our two teenagers. There was lots of space to gather as a family while still having privacy. The bathrooms and toiletries were luxurious, the beds were dreamy, and the balcony—with its hammock and table with chairs—was one of my favourite places to unwind.
Aldea Kuka was perfect in all ways!!"
"We had a great stay at this Hotel! The staff was friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and everything was well-maintained. The overall atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy our time. Definitely a place I would stay at again and recommend to others!"

Hotel Casa Lumini Holbox was an incredible stay and the perfect place to celebrate my 55th birthday and our 10-year anniversary.
From the moment we arrived, the owners Hector and Cynthia made us feel welcome. They were extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to make our special weekend memorable.
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and very quiet, creating a relaxing environment. The entire property has a beautiful ambiance, giving you that feeling of being in your own private oasis or jungle retreat. It’s peaceful, unique, and exactly what you want when visiting Holbox. It’s also close to the beach, and they’re currently building a beach club that is going to be incredible once completed.
A huge highlight was the food. Chefs Luis and Andrea were amazing. Breakfast was fresh, well-prepared, and delicious every morning. Dinner was just as impressive. You can tell these are real chefs who take pride in what they do. One of the nicest touches was when they packed us a lunch for the airport, which really shows the level of care and hospitality here.
Overall, this place is very accommodating, peaceful, and truly feels like your own private escape. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Holbox.

"The Junior room on the top floor was very generously proportioned. The bed was very large and comfortable.
The property is very clean and immaculately presented.
The line ln and towels were fresh and beautifully presented, with beach towels available too.
The shower gels, shampoo and conditioner were excellent.
The balcony was a nice addition, and only a minor point could do with one extra chair.
Locationwise it is perfect, being in a quiet area but close enough to walk 2-3 minutes to the beach, or 5 minutes to the central square.
If you are looking for a clean, well presented and excellent value stay, you will struggle to find better."
