A great place for an Istanbul short break

Very good as a place for a group as convenient for transport, restaurants and all the attractions of Beyoglu. The staff were very helpful, though one evening there was no staff presence which proved inconvenient.

Great value for money

The location was great and quiet at night with double glazing. Black mould around base of shower was off putting thou the shower was clean. Wifi not strong in my room but good in lobby and terrace. Roof terrace lovely for breakfast on a good day! Staff friendly and helpful.

Good deal 5 min from Galata Tower

I really liked this hotel. Love the area which has tons of bars and cafes. The hotel staff were very helpful and the room itself, while a bit small, had plenty of space when you take into account where it was located. It also had an awesome roof deck where you could go up and have drinks or take breakfast with a breathtaking view of the Bosphorus. At the price, it was more than I could ask for.

A nice hotel that needs a facelift

My wife and I stayed at this hotel 3 years ago and we had a wonderful experience then. At that time, the hotel was in very good condition. Now, the hotel suffers from peeling paint, ripped carpets, drawers falling apart. It needs some work. Having said that, the hotel staff is wonderful, the room is very comfortable, the breakfast is lovely and the view from the top cannot be beat.

Greit hotell med tanke på at prisen er lav! Greit område og grei standard. Det største problemet er de ansatte. Da jeg ankom hotellet i en taxi viste takstameteret 76 lire, jeg skjønte at dette var dyrere enn det burde være og spurte den eneste hotellansatte som var synlig på jobb, om dette var en vanlig pris. Han svarte ikke før han konfererte med taxisjåføren og sa at dette var helt vanlig. Jeg sjekket opp taxipriser på nett og så at vanlig pris lå på maks 40 lire. Da jeg konfronterte hotellpersonalet med dette ble han hissig og sa han at 76 lire var vanlig og at jeg kunne ringe politiet hvis jeg ikke trodde på ham.

Review Istanbul Suite Home Galata Hotel

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Istanbul Suite Galata Home Hotel in late July for for nights. The staff was friendly, English speaking, helpful and attentive to my every need. It is located one block from the Galata Tower in a quaint historic hilly section of Istanbul. The rooms are small, but have everything you need. The small narrow four story hotel has a roof top terrace with amazing views of the Bosphorous River, the Asian continent and the old city center in the distance. It does require a 10 minute hilly climb and or descent to public transportation on a cobblestone street, but cabs are also an option. When I return to Istanbul, I will definitely stay at the hotel again.

The hotel is located down from Galata Tower which makes it hard for taxi drivers to find. Be sure to have the hotel phone number handy for the driver. However, the location is excellent in terms of being near from main streets, shops, and restaurants. As well, far enough away that you do not hear so much noise. The staff were excellent and very accomodating to our needs. I would highly recommend this hotel.

i made my reservation 6-16/7/2011 corner room, according to the view of advertisment that rooms has: Istanbul Suite Home Galata offers 16 guestrooms. Rooms feature city views. Guestrooms are individually furnished. Flat-panel televisions come with satellite channels. Accommodations at this 4.0-star property have kitchens with refrigerators, microwaves, coffee/tea makers, and cooking facilities. Bathrooms include bathtubs or showers, bathrobes, slippers, and hair dryers. . but actualy i found my self in small standered duoble room not as reserved,no microwaves no kitchens no cooking facilities!!!! as described , in a mounten with small narow streets the taxi drivers can't reach the hotel easly so the drop you in the area and you should manage yourself to reach this hotel!!!! so i moved to another the hotel after staing few hours there!!!
