Top Iwata Hotel Reviews

Hamamatsu Marriott Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We had a lovely stay here. Reasonably easy to walk from the train station, close to bus stops as well. Easy walk to Hamamatsu Castle and Park. Good sized room, well appointed and bonus Mt Fuji view from the window on a clear day"

Grand Mercure Lake Hamana Resort & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"I really enjoyed my stay here. The onsen was so nice and well maintained. They offered drinks in a lounge like area before entering the onsen and after you get out. The local tea was so good, I think it was called usuchatou (the spelling might be wrong). The rooms were nice. The breakfast was so delicious and had a big variety. We were a group of 4 and stayed in a traditional Japanese style room and as Americans it was our first time having to lay out futons so it was fun. The staff were amazing, we don’t have service here and twice they called a taxi for us after asking and were very kind. Definitely 10/10 one of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed at so far in Japan."

Dormy Inn Express Kakegawa Natural Hot Spring

8/10 Good

"This was my 2nd time stay at this hotel. They changed the system to check-in/out to kiosk. But some staff helped me to resolve my issue. I like there’s natural hot springs and breakfast buffet with some local foods. It’s about 10 minutes walk from the station and the castle. It’s not luxurious hotel but convenient."
