"This was the first ever hotel that I’ve stayed at while in Japan, that I didn’t hear a single car during my stay. The location was a stone throw from the ocean and surrounded by the local vegetation. When I visit the island again I’m definitely staying there a second time."

My stay at Isaribi was excellent! I was incredibly touched by the “welcome back” greeting, considering that my last stay was 4 years ago. I appreciated that the ryokan knew I couldn’t speak Japanese and assigned a staff who could speak some English to serve dinner, and the staff was most attentive to my needs. I absolutely love the Ise lobster sashimi of the dinner course.

The half board package was excellent. The breakfast and dinner were scrumptious and elaborate. Staff were very helpful and attentive. The sea view from our room was stunning and yes, the onzen, sauna and the cold plunge in our suite were great! Kudos to the team!
