"Excellent charming hotel in the heart of downtown Oaxaca, about 5 min walking distance to zocalo, lots of wonderful restaurants nearby. The staff went above and beyond daily. Food and drinks offered onsite were delicious as well! It was lovely enjoying a latte every morning while sitting in the courtyard. Can’t wait to stay here again."

"Got room 1.5hr after check in time. We reserved 3 rooms all same type but one of them was lower category. We had to take that room for 1 night. But we requested a change and hotel gave us a higher end for the rest of our stay. Question is: why they did not give the same 3 rooms from the beginning. What's the purpose of paying to reserve the rooms if the hotel won't honor the request. Maybe they thought people won't complaint and just keep quiet. That's a very low tactic if they do that on purpose. Hope they stop doing that. Therefore I don't think I can recommend them. "

"Right in the heart of the centro. They were doing updates in the hotel but they were quiet and respectful of guests. I would stay here again. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is good. Overall a very nice stay here! "

"Everything is nearby. La Petrona Cafe staff are awesome and very nice. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The pool area is very pretty. We will definitely be going back. "

"The hotel and the room were really nice, the design was lovely and the courtyard was a nice place to eat and drink. It was quiet in the room too over our 5 night stay. The area is a bit out of the town centre but there are lots of great places to eat and drink nearby so you don't need to go far every night and the area feels safe and social. However, we felt the hotel was overpriced compared to other hotels on our trip, as breakfast was not included and there was no coffee machine or extra bottled water in the room (just 1 little bottle of water per guest a day). We had breakfast one morning but it was a lot and not especially worth the high cost. "
