Jemeppe-sur-Meuse Holidays

This was a delightful stay!! Central to everything. They have a unique vibe, Restoration Hardware would be inspired in the main areas and private courtyard. Very clean & fresh smelling all the time. The room was tight and some wallpapers pealing. Bathroom and shower were spacious. No cold fridge or AC which seems common in Belguim. The evening staff was exceptional every time we spoke with her. She also let us put our food in their fridge and she had very helpful advice. Would stay here again and recommend it. It added value to our Bruges experience.

What a beautiful, unique experience. We arrived nearer to noon than 3 but our room was ready. We were gifted chocolate, two welcome drinks from the bar, and a detailed walking map with a route outlined. Our receptionist had a beautiful smile and we felt perfectly welcome. Our room was a “Comfort room” with a view of the belfry tower. A few times we opened our window to enjoy the cool air, but majority of the time used our very effective AC. The room has a mini fridge/bar, a writing desk and enough access to charge our devices. The bathroom is marble with a hand held sprayer and a rain shower head. Instant hot water made the shower efficient and pleasant. The bedding was extra comfortable. I wish I could bring these sheets home with me! There were two super soft “throws” in the closet, which we used throughout the stay. We stayed three nights. During our stay we asked for extra water - they provide a bottle of still and sparkling every day, but I drink a lot of water- and extra coffee. One day I was sick and stayed in all day - they graciously left a basket of towels and supplies outside our door. The common areas are beautiful, warm colors, rich fabrics, beautiful wood paneling and elaborate fireplaces. We now wish we had switched our schedule and spent more time here. Not because of Bruges, but because of the quality of this experience. It’s not modern. It’s not busy or noisy, it’s perfectly complimentary to a stay in a medieval town. Beautiful hotel!!! Service and attention to detail was impeccable. Frederick and the entire staff -perfection!

My room was nice if a bit small with view. Convenient location to center. It is disappointing and surprising a four star property declines assistance with baggage since there is no elevator and steep, long staircases. It is also surprising no in- room complimentary water is offered, with only small overpriced water in the mini bar.
