Made to feel very welcome from day 1 and that continued throughout the 9 day stay. Very helpful advice on many topics. Large room opening onto lovely gardens and pool.

Absolutely loved the villa, ideal holiday accommodations. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, nothing was an issue, including having our daily breakfast delivered promptly to our villa, hot and tasty. The small 24hr shops were just a short walk and catered for all your needs and not to expensive. Can't fault the villa and can't wait to return (didn't want to leave). Will book this place again.

The Astari floating breakfast was excellent. The service was also great—they set up airport transfer flawlessly and carried our bags when we arrived at 1 AM.

Fabulous, comfortable stay - such gracious staff
We enjoyed the Astari. It was spotlessly clean with well tended gardens and a pristine pool with loungers, always with a rolled towel on. The staff are very attentive and do whatever they can to make your stay comfortable (even found less-plump pillows for us) Breakfast offers a good variety. The complimentary 15 minute massage was excellent. The only downside to Astari is that it’s a bit outside Jimbaran - it’s a15 minute walk, but not a pleasant walk on a very busy road. As always there are taxis.

The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and they were happy to let me stay in the villa all day even though I didn't need to leave for the airport until the evening. But the wifi wasn't very good - I had to keep logging in every five minutes or so on my iphone as I was logged out all the time and I couldn't stream programmes or download anything.

Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Providing a place for us to leave our bags for the day after we checked out, and allowed us a space to rinse, change & freshen up prior to our flight. Beautiful place with lots to offer.

Would stay again. Nice staff
Very good service. Gave a free lift to the Police after I was robbed at the nearby go karting. Room was nice and breakfast was also good quality. They gave a 15 minute free massage which we didn't know about or pay for. The hotel is very isolated down two allys off the main road and not really located near anything. We hired a scooter as transport through the hotel which was very cheap as not much is within walking distance. Very quiet and nice resort, would stay again.

Nice quiet place to stay, friendly helpful staff, room was good, comfy bed. I feel the TV's could be bigger but each to their own. I wasn't at all impressed with the WiFi service.

NIGHTMARE STAY NOT WORTH
WORST stay in Bali. Totally NOT WORTH! Sure, the management knew the villa got problem but still let customer stay in. No inter-telephone, no hot water through out the stay, black out in the middle of night(2:45am). No phone can't made complain, some more hide the broken phone outside outdoor living room cabinet (means purposely). No hot water for shower so no bath & can't enjoy/utilize private POOL in villa. Midnight blackout no electric no water, feel warm & wake up ahead long distance path to front desk for complain as no inter-phone to use. Easy solution for them, just told no technician to fix and no others villa to change for us. Force to stay in a broken Villa. Really a nightmare stay & spoiled our holiday mood even compensate food charges RP300k compare to RP1M over villa cost! Can't enjoy & utilize the facilities at all. Please, if want to do business, earn profit do it in a proper way!

Nice enough but avoid.
The hotel is very far away from anything, a taxi is necessary to get anywhere. The road to the beach is unsafe to walk along (there are no pavements). The shuttle service is only one way and not particularly regular. The reception desk was only manned sporadically and the bar area was always deserted after breakfast. The breakfast was pleasant enough but there was no variety and items were rarely restocked when they had finished. The rooms were comfortable but the bathrooms needed refreshing. Our air con unit broke in the middle of our stay and staff were not overly helpful. 2 hours after they were informed of the issue, when I asked what was happening they had done nothing and we’re pretty unaware anything was wrong. We were moved to a twin room, which is not what we had booked and no real apology was made. I would not return and could not recommend this hotel to anyone else.

I really enjoyed my stay here at the Astari. It is so calming and relaxing. From the moment I checked in I felt relaxed and we also opted to upgrade to a 1bdr Villa and it was amazing. Outdoor living room with Tv and a private pool, in room couples massage it was truly and amazing experience.

Problem was with the booking. I was told I have been booked with 2 bed room deluxe room with kitchen service but was booked 1 bedroom deluxe with no kitchen facility. worse part my check out was 12 noon and my flight was booked for midnight, I have to pay for 1 extra at the last minute, very unprofessional .

It’s really close to Jimbaran Bay, really clean and the staffs are really nice. However, internet connection is really slow and often dropped off. I wish they also have high chairs for kids. And the breakfast buffet is really tasty but not many choices especially Indonesian cuisines.

cons: I requested via Expedia.ca a queen bed but there was none available so basically two single beds put together. It was sufficient for my 3.5 year old and myself. I don't think that the floor was ever washed because our feet were constantly black if we didn't don on socks or slippers. There was faulty wiring attached to one of the night stand lights and could have been a fire hazard. I did not bother to lodge a complaint but I was cautious when turning it on and off. Even though Wifi was free on the hotel property, it kept kicking you out and then you had to constantly log in and put your password in every time. Continental breakfast which was baked goods/cereal, coffee/tea, milk, juice and fruit since Expedia.ca did not have an option for American breakfast(baked goods/cereal, eggs, bacon/sausage) It was good for both of us but staff did offer eggs and bacon/sausage but for an added price. Pros: 2 complimentary 15 min spa treatments since my reservation offered that so I was able to get a 15 min. foot massage and 15 min. back massage while lounging by the poolside. Communal pool literally outside your room and refreshing. This quaint little property is tucked away from the bustle of things so if you want a nice holiday without the noise and crowds, this is your place. Having said that, you will need transportation to get to restaurants, shopping and excursions. GRAB was the transport I used when I did not have my cousin to drive us around.

Pros: 1.Clean, cozy, comfortable, quaint 2. Breakfast buffet included made to order eggs/omelette station which was much appreciated (we stayed at 5 different hotels during our trip to bali exploring different areas and this was the last stop and the only hotel that had made to order omelette station) 3. Price 4. Nice pool 5. Friendly staff 6. Provides motor bikes for rent to explore the area 7. Massage therapist was really good and did an awesome job. Though note that their prices (about $10+ for 30 minutes) are a little more expensive compared to other places in bali (usually about 5 bucks for 1 hour massage, but still cheap compared to american prices, $80+ for over 50 minutes. Cons: 1. English from staff is good but could be better, one staff member in front desk couldnt understand me at times 2. Only 6 Pool chairs available for the whole hotel so only about 3 or 4 rooms out of the 12 or so total rooms can use the pool at one time which is unfortunate and inconvenient. They fill the rest of the space with tables for the restaurant, these tables can either be replaced with more pool chairs or at least can be removed after breakfast ends to accomodate another 4-5 more pool chairs 3. No shops/restaurants outside the immediate vicinity, would need to rent a motor bike to explore the area which they provide Would still stay here again despite the few cons so i do recommend this hotel due to the overall value and price point.
