Many shrines are also in the area and all are easy to walk to. Nipponia is an INCREDIBLE place to stay with every aspect exceeding my expectations. "Our stay at Ruokan Hiyoshi was the highlight of our day trip to Chichibu. "Hotel property is a bit away from most things so it's best to either take a taxi or to drive. We stayed one night, New Year's eve, so not much was open. However there is a giant supermarket across the street so you can get most anything you want to buy even pre-made food The hotel serves a microwaveable small meal, 4 choices.
