"The hotel and the staff were excellent. The front desk personnel were thoughtful, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. It was easy to park our car and the walk into
town was also very good.
We had cancelled an alternate hotel
as this hotel had a outdoor pool to relax by. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for two of the 4 days which was extremely disappointing. There could have been an adjustment on the price given this was the primary reason we picked the hotel."
"The facility is upscale, clean and well kept. The main issue was the restaurant staff. The hotel has 4 restaurants and there is large number of staff they hired. However, the staff were untrained and uncoordinated. For instance we saw the reception and let them know we are there for a drink late night, and they seated us. Another server came by and said this restaurant (La Source) is only for eating and asked us to leave. That left a horrible taste and totally ruined the night.
Same issues at breakfast where we showed up and there was no one to receive us. The tea was cold and I had to wait for 5-10 min to get a hold of a server and asked for a hot tea..
chateau de la guide is a great establishment and has the potential to be a lot better once they can fix the staff skill and professionalism.
One more thing, we dined at the bar and the food was really bad. The beef skewers were super s wet and overcooked. Tempura was absolutely cold and charcuterie was stale.
Lots of opportunities here"
"A lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Very friendly & helpful staff.
The mattress was thin and pretty hard. The only bed cover was a thick duvet. It was hot & despite air conditioning the cover was too hot to use for sleeping. We could have used a lightweight cover like a sheet. Also bath towels were very thin & worn."
"We had an amazing stay at Aquabella! It is very centrally located. The property is gorgeous! The room was spacious and very clean! The pool was a peaceful, beautiful, and delightful place to be! The staff were welcoming and incredibly helpful. We would definitely stay here again!"
"Bedroom is not clean! We like the amenities and the well decorated lobby and bedrooms. But the bedroom wasn’t clean, no soap, just 1 towel, they didn’t cleaned the bedroom during the 3 days. We told about for the missing items but no response until we had to go to the receptionist to request it again for 3 rd time.
The staff at the lobby just speak French.
Need also maintenance at the hallway of the
Bedroom, has one damage wall with holes that gave us a bad impression."
