The ceiling in our bathroom was leaking and smelled of mold. Our other room was noisy in front of a busy street. The redeeming factor is the staff gave excellent service

Happy & friendly staff

Before i booked southgate inn i tried to look some of the other hotels in kabankalan and compare the reviews…and southgate standout.What i liked was very accessible. Staff are very pleasant and friendly and helpful! Only the wifi are very poor and slow.And please try to refresh the room before the guest came..i understand sometimes the executive suite are not always the first pick of the travellers who stays a little bit longer..i saw the drinking glass inside the bathroom are already dusty dry,..that is why i asked the housekeeping to change it..and try to clean the glass wall of the shower room and the floor…so no more soap stains that makes look dirty.theirs spider web in the lamp sheds and corner tables are dusty too…looks never used for a long time.Small flaws…easy fix! But all in all we enjoyed our stay! If we have a chance to cone back…Southgate still my first choice to stay! Thank you for the good service!

Noisy outside window late at night and they couldn’t or wouldn’t do anything (music blaring from tricycle line) , holes in sheets, shower dirty and barely worked. You only get one key and it’s needed for ac, so if you leave for the day your room will be hot and take hours to cool down. It’s the Philippines, and kabankalan, but how is there multiple holes in my sheets…. Just didn’t enjoy it. Maybe I expected too much. After complaining manager never followed up.
