Wonderful hotel with clean and spacious rooms. Conveniently located in the centre of the city, but room was very quiet and you wouldn't have known the trams/buses were outside. Great choice of amenities. Would recommend and definitely stay here again.

Daiwa Roynet is a nice modern hotel in the Tenmonkan District of Kagoshima, with its many restaurants and bars. The hotel is fairly new, very clean and well maintained, as usual in Japan. Our only complaint was that our room had a large massage chair that took most of the floor space in the room and was totally uncomfortable to sit in.

Great location with a new hotel feel

The location was excellent as it was close to ferry access to Mt Sakurajima, the Tenmonkan shopping district as well as the Kagoshima Station. Think the hotel is relatively new and more oriented towards business. But still overall good service from reception. Got adjacent rooms for my family of 3, but the rooms are a little uncomfortable for 2 pax, but perfect for a single. Check in and check out service was easy. Had a decent view of Mt Sakurajima (not full frontal view). Hotel lobby on the 7th floor. Don’t be surprised that taxis from the Kagoshima station will drop you on the opposite side of the hotel. There are some road restrictions during peak hours I think, but it’s easy to cross as there is a traffic junction.
