"Great spot away from the busy Tokyo area. The rooms and the hotel is special in its own way and has a lot of character. Felt like being in my grandparents home. Really enjoyed staying here and it made it incredibly easy to walk to and from the train station to get bus tickets. Would definitely tell friends to stay here in the future. "

"Old Showa style minimalistic ryokan, but the room for 5 was spacepus (double room) and the tatami beds and beddings arw comfortable. Self-service to put the futon (which was no problem for us). Power plugs and Wifi were abundant. We were fine with steps but for eldery or disabled it may be a challenge. The hot spring bath was nice. The temperature may be on a hot side but i think it is pretty standard. The tub was indeed made of wood (I assume hinoki).The place seemed to have a fair number of...

"This is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed! Amazing view of the mountains. The cottage was spacious, warm, beautifully presented and had all the amenities as described. The reception staff were so friendly and were able to help us with a few questions in English. They even gave us a mobile phone so we could call them from the cottage if required. I wish we stayed longer!! "

"I don’t believe this accommodation justify the cost if you will stay at this property without dinner and breakfast. I was able to reduce the expense for a night to c. $55 by using Expedia credits equal to $30, but if I didn’t have it, I would recommend to stay another one. Far from the center of Matsumoto Nothing was around the property Nothing would be provided to kids, such as amenities, welcoming tea and snacks, basically. "I stayed at this hotel for the Norikura HC event. The hotel prepared a very early breakfast for the visitors. It was very nice. But there was one thing that was disappointing. It was parking problem. When I checked-in, it was already full, so staff let me know 2nd/3rd parkings. But map was so complicated, that's why I tired to look for them. If the problem is releafed, I'd like to stay (at 2025 Norikura HC?) again."
