"The pro is the room was clean and our twin beds were comfortable. Expect the bare minimum as far as amenities are concerned. The bathroom didn't have extra rolls of toilet paper. No towel hooks or racks by the sink. Only tiny tubes of shampoo were available, no soaps given. Standard rooms do not have windows, only deluxe rooms have windows. I didn't know this when I booked this room. Strongly suggest this be made known for booking. If you are looking for a place just to rest your head, you have got it. Like I said, you get the bare minimum. If you expect any more than that, you would be disappointed. "
A verified traveller from Simpsonville stayed at Kluang Riverview Hotel
"The hotel was fairly well maintained and the room I stayed in seemed to have undergone a bit of recent renovations, which felt nice to have a new bathroom to use. The hotel was easy to locate with the use of GPS. However, it is not located near any convenience stores or any eatery that opens early for breakfast. The check-in staff seemed rather unfriendly during my check-in process. For the price I paid, I was not impressed with the service I received."
"The bed in Room 306 was infested with bed bugs and my son and his girlfriend were bitten in many places from 12 – 2 am in the wee hours of Sunday 21 July 2024. They have photos of the welts caused by these vicious bed bugs’ bites. Please email us how to send these pictures to Expedia. They could not sleep and eventually requested for a change of room to Room 206 which was not the King Deluxe Room Type that I had paid for. The bug infested Room 306 which was directly above Room 206 was not King Deluxe Room too. Their holiday in Kluang was ruined as their sleep was disrupted and they could not sleep well and had to sleep in till 11 am the next day, causing them to have much less time to tour Kluang as their bus back to Singapore was 2.30 pm on Sunday 21 July 2024. In addition, we were charged tourism tax amounting to 20 MYR when your invoice to us clearly stated that all taxes were included in my payment. Please help to compensate us for the ruined holidays due to the bug infested and non-King Deluxe Room 306 and to refund us the tourism tax of 20 MYR."

Holiday rentals are privately owned properties you can book for a few days, or a quick weekend, in Kampung Gajah. If you're concerned about a sanitised environment, holiday rentals can provide a sense of privacy away from public hotel lifts and bustling concierge desks while still allowing you the experience of travel. You'll also find more space in a holiday rental than in a hotel, which is another reason why a holiday rental is a popular option for a family getaway.
