Hotel has nice common areas but the rooms are damp and not particularly clean. Not worth the money and not a 4 star rating. We stayed at better guest houses in Sri Lanka at a much more reasonable price

Good points: location, of the main strip. Peaceful. Close to Tooth Temple and lake. Bad points: cleanliness of room and fixtures and fittings in bathroom. Terrible. Had some form of animal or insect waste on the pillows so they were unusable. Live wires next shower and shelves and towel rails that would fall down as soon as you placed anything on them. Bathmat was supplied with free mud/brown substance. Sri Lankan food in restaurant was poor. Served cold. Chef came out and put his fingers in and realised this then took it all away to be reheated and also sub par meat. Service in restaurant also questionable. He flat refused to believe any of it. He said the rooms were 100% before I went in. When challenged on the restaurant I was also told I was wrong because the chef ensures everything is tasty and piping hot. Well if that is the case then why did the chef come out, stick his fingers in all of the items and then take them away to be reheated? Also accused of stealing rooms in response to my review on Google. Manager sent porters to rooms with four keys, porters didn't speak English and they put bags in rooms without asking. You can't steal hotel rooms. Just shows poor admin as we were the only people checking in.

Firstly let me Thank you for staying at our property. We thrive to serve the best to our clients and exceed all customer expectations. With regards to your review, I would like to state the following; You booked three Standard Double Rooms, and as a gesture of goodwill we upgraded to pool view rooms, and you secretly sneaked into another room so each of you get a room for themselves and got caught and you were embarrassed. From the time of the check in you were trying to trick us and cheat. And now your complaining. We as the management we saw you would give false comments. You should obey the countries rules and regulations, with regards to any payments. Mr. Sharif, kindly note that we have all CCTV cameras available and we even have the evidence that no chef have poked their finger to any of your dishes, I wish I can upload the camera footages so that everyone can see. It's unethical how you write false reviews like this, after having all your meals. thank you

nice stay at this hotel
This hotel is one of the only ones we stayed in that was completed and decorated. It included all the things you expect as standard.sheets.kettle.fridge.toiletries.air cond and fan.& nice pool.bathroom a bit dated..

GREAT HOLIDAYS.
It was a short 2 days stay. The tables and chairs and relaxing furniture right in front of the room made our day. we were able to talk and so were other guests. service was excellent and the staff was friendly and ever willing to assist especially Mr. Irshad and his sub. We all discuss and give 9.5% out of 10 for this hotel. GREAT HOLIDAYS>

Et fint hotell som ligger greit til i forhold til sentrum. Stilig bygningsmasse. Rett ved en skog med mange aper, noe som falt i smak hos vårt reisefølge. Små rom, og noe slitent. Stor forskjell på service basert på hvem som var på jobb. Enkel frokost. Vi hadde fine dager, men hotellet var en litt blandet opplevelse.

OK hotel
Nice hotel near Kandy, walking distance to the city centre. The rooms and pool was clean. In the three rooms we had the safe was not working in any of the rooms. The pool area was worn and the woodwork around the pool was rotten. When ordering hamburgers these was not sufficient cooked with red meat in the middle. Wi-fi was good when we received the code to the network for the hotel and not the guests.

Hotellet ligger fint til med mye vegetasjon rundt og vi likte apekattene. Det er fint ute med masse blomster mm. Og fint ellers på fellesområdene. Herlig med basseng men det må rengjøres mye oftere, llikeså alle fellesområdene. På rommene er alt løst fra håndkleholder til vask. Kjøleskap og tekoker har felles kontakt og må brukes på skift. Kun en kontakt gil lading. Elendig wifi. Hyggelig personale som alltid sier ja, men alt tar sin tid. Vi spurte om å få ha rommet en dag ekstra pga.sykdom og det var helt ok. Så fikk vi beskjed dagen før opprinnelig avreise at det var fullt og vi måtte stresse ekstra pg ordne taxi mm.i siste liten. Ikke bra! I hotel.com sin beskrivelse av rommet er det mye feil. Vi hadde et delux dobbeltrom med utsikt mot bassenget. Ekstra seng gjør rommet trangt. Ikke sitteområde på rommet. Felles terasse med 4 stoler. Når man slår på lyset på toalett/bad går en vifte på og vifta er felles med naborommet og hvis de har lyser på om natta bråker det mye. Føler at hotellet prioriterer kinesiske reiseselskap. Ikke verd sine 4 stjerner.

Nettes Hotel in Kandy
Wir blieben für eine Nacht im Sunray. Der überzeugendste Grund das Hotel zu buchen war der Pool. Für den Preis ist das Hotel völlig in Ordnung
