The room was very spacious and clean. The staff was courteous, friendly, and very helpful. The hotel has plenty of parking around it. The location was great. It was only 12 minutes from the venue in Raytown. We really enjoyed our stay.

On the outskirts of the park, location is perfect. Close to anything and then nothing but park. Trails tall trees, fishing, hills, picnicking. Relaxing & hassle of the city all at once.

Staff was very friendly. Hallways smelled like pot smoke. Our door didn’t shut unless you slammed it. Our bathroom fan was falling off the wall. We stayed 2 nights and no maid service was performed so I needed to ask for clean towels.

The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the hall we were on was very quiet. Was a little disappointed in the breakfast, but all in all great stay. Will stay again when we need to be that close to the Research Hospital.

Clean enough and decent enough little hotel. Decent breakfast. Hotel only supplies 4 pillows for a 2 queen bed rooms. I’m also fairly certain the “queen” beds were actually full size mattresses. The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful, however the manager in charge was obviously very stingy with things like pillows, blankets, and sheets. Saw another guest require a spare set of sheets only to be told they didn’t have them. Just needs more effort put in, even for a budget friendly hotel. A hotel bed should have a standard 4 pillows, 2 per side.

Air and heat was fine. Clean enough. Old and shabby all around and odor reflected that. No coffee at breakfast the first morning. Staff was okay. Our clothes bar fell off the wall and no one ever came to try to fix it so it was very inconvenient. No luggage rack either. We will not stay there again and its a shame because it was located where we needed to be.

The breakfast was a joke but the staff was friendly even during the melt down from some of the guests. The bagels were rock hard, no juice, milk and coffee cups arrived two hours after the breakfast started.

This hotel is ok. It's in a sketchy area, or at least it feels that way. That is not the staff's fault; they were absolutely wonderful. They worked with us, were friendly, helped us with whatever we needed, and were understanding of our concerns and needs. The rooms were just ok as well, not great, but not nasty. It was really the staff that made our stay memorable.

Hotel was overall okay for a one night stay. Staff was very friendly. Be wary that property smells like smoke/weed. Overall, hotel was quiet for a weekday. Breakfast was very limited. if you are looking for a pet friendly hotel- this is not your place as they no longer accept pets as of january 2025.

I did not read reviews before I booked our stay and I probably should have. Our room was clean enough for the one night we were staying but the hotel seems to be in overall disrepair. The small things begin to add up. While the room was clean, the remote control for the TV would not work. The batteries were held in place with a rubber band. The shower curtain rod was coming out of the wall and the piping for the shower was loose. You could feel the pipes in the wall move when you turned on the faucet. Upon checking in, my picture was taken, which I have never experienced before. This was after they took a picture of my ID. I also believe the online photos have been heavily edited because the hotel looks a lot nicer in the online pictures than it does online. The breakfast served was exactly what we expected and was quite lacking. Things needed to be refilled. There was a waffle maker and waffle batter dispenser. It appeared to be leaking as there was a huge batter mess under the dispenser. While I was making a waffle for my child and myself, the nozzle on the waffle dispenser came off in my hand and batter began to pour out. I needed a place to wash my hands but the bathroom in the lobby was out of order. I would not recommend this hotel.

In a daze in Kansas City

sink leaked badly. blinds broken. changed rooms. not very clean. carpet damp from earlier cleaning. this sink barely trickled. no shower curtain. TV remote batteries died. Key card did not work on second day. Staff was friendly and helpful, but the issues seemed endless.

I was very skeptical when I arrived at the hotel as the appearance was less than inviting. The building requires maintenance. I was told I needed to put up a $100 cash deposit, I was flabbergasted. Never have I experienced that before in all my years of travel. (I am in my 70's.) Fortunately, and to my surprise, the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nothing but carbs. I have enough of my own food to have a healthy breakfast.

Hotel experience

I am so disappointed and thankful at the same time. Check in was great the light skinned lady with curly hair helped out. I originally booked a smoking room and once I arrived at the hotel she informed me that the hotel was under renovation and that all smoking rooms were no longer available. That was cool. Then after staying a day or so, we discover roaches... wowzer.... so i go to the front desk. And yes i took pictures and explain my concern, well this worker she said its nothing she can do but leave the manager a note for the morning. Okay whatever but she could have switched me rooms but i agreed to wait until the morning. So check out time i go to the desk and express my concern not realizing the manager was standing there also just to say well we have been looking for another exterminator company because the one they have had for 11 months or years (i cant recall the exact time frame) isn't working. Bananas.... We just have to do better and care as a whole

Our room felt like it wasn’t cleaned. There was dust on the bed frames, greasy finger prints all over the AC, and the check in experience was very long. The breakfast area was so crowded and under stocked that we had to get breakfast elsewhere.
