Matala Dimitris Villa

"This is a great place to stay in Matala. It has parking and is a quick walk to the beach/caves/restaurants instead of parking in the main town lot which is a nightmare and often full. We drove from Heraklion did Knossos and ended tte day here then the next day we did Gortyn/Hagia Triada/ Phaistos and ended here. Perfect vase for that! The pool is beautiful and has plenty of sun loungers. The communal balcony/patio area is pretty and you are provided with close pins to hang your wet items. We also had a small private balcony with a table and chairs. Room was super clean with a small fridge and plenty of tables/chairs and a wardrobe with hangers to store cloths. Only thing I would change is the beds are pretty basic. Like firm little doll beds with not much bedding provided. We loved it here and would definitely stay again."

"Room was small but workable. Nice balcony to relax on not much of a view . Shower is very small a thin person would barely fit but the water was hot. Came with a small.fridge freezer and worked great once plugged in. A/C was available but they removed the remote thinking I would not need it so room was stuffy and opening the bacony door helped a bit until the mosquitoes made their way in so that was annoying. Breakfast was very good no complaints. About a 10 minute walk into town so not a big deal and flat. I would suggest checking that the A/C remote is in your room before front desk closes. I would have rated the place higher if not for this. Again simple clean small room but served the purpose. Bed was a bit on the hard side."
