We came from Nagano and had been staying at the Mercure Matsushino resort hotel, and it was terrible. The Hotel Rosso was such a relief, everything was new and clean and in good condition. Even the food quality was so much better. I was so relieved at the upkeep and quality of the Hotel Rosso. I highly recommend staying here.

Staff and very helpful. That have shuttle bus to take you down to ski centre and drive you back on scheduled time. Small breakfast variety but at least is complimentary. Super helpful before skiing. They also have free welcome drinks from 3-9pm daily. Small selection but good after a full day ski.

Our room was very nice and large. We really enjoyed the tatami portion of the room to rest and for our son to play. Staff were very friendly and the complimentary breakfast was great and had a variety of western and Japanese cuisine. Location was ok as it was not in the main road/shopping area. However, it is close enough to walk to karuizawa station where we can ride the train/taxi/bus.
