"I would’ve preferred to have the beach directly on the hot hotel side. Do you have to cross the street and it was unclear whether you had to pay for lounges and umbrellas on the actual beach?"

"We really enjoyed our stay here. Right in the middle of the “action” where you can do anything from a city tour to booking a day with the elephants! We thought the room was perfect for what we needed and the pool area was very nice. Would recommend for anyone traveling on a budget that would also like a nice place to stay! "

"Super hotel that is excellent for kids. Our two-year old could have spent all day, every day by the pool. With three pools, including splash park and slides, there was loads to keep him entertained. Our room was in great condition, with plenty of space. Shower water leaked a little under the glass door onto the bathroom floor, otherwise fantastic. The breakfast was brilliant, extensive with a range of different options. We loved the fruit and there was fresh noodle soup cooked on the spot. Lots of other activities to keep children entertained, including movies every night. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and great with our little boy. It was great to see the efforts at sustainability, too."

"This was our first time back in Thailand since Covid and our first stay at The Boathouse in Kata beach. It did not disappoint! We had seen the hotel before having walked past it on previous trips to Phuket and had always thought it looks it really nice. It is a fantastic hotel. I would highly recommend it. The staff are amazing, they are extremely helpful and friendly. They will go out of their way to make sure that you have a great time at the hotel. I was a little apprehensive about the breakfast being a la carte rather than a buffet, but the food they have on offer is amazing and is cooked very quickly and you can order as much or as little as you want with no qualms from the staff. We stayed in a Seaview Terrace room, we had a terrace outside with a couple of sunbeds and a private outside with some chairs to sit out on. The room was very comfortable with a great private bathroom. We had dinner once at the hotel and while it is a bit expensive in comparison to outside local restaurants, the food is amazing and service fantastic. I would recommend booking in advance if you want to eat there. The pool is a little small but big enough to have a dip when you get hot and also the sea is right outside the hotel. We went the week before Christmas last year and it wasn't too busy at the hotel and there were adequate sun beds. It is easy walking distance to shops and restaurants, but is like an oasis in a busy town. We liked it so much we have booked to go again this year!"
