Great place to stay a few nights
It's a good place to stay, right at the heart of Thamel. Loads of shops and restaurants close by and wonderful service by the whole team. I really like a few team members at the restaurant and gym. I can’t recall all their names now but remember one who was very kind and extremely helpful - Radha!

Centrally located hotel in Kathmandu
Aloft is located in the heart of Thamel, which is where the majority of shops, restaurants and bars that cater to foreign travellers appears to be concentrated. There's a shopping centre attached to the hotel and getting a taxi was easy. The onsite restaurant (Nook) and the bar (WXYZ) were good. I would stay here again next time I'm in Kathmandu.

Location is superb, right in the Thamel. Great room with a comfy bed, wonderful rain shower and I got a city mountain view, which was excellent. WIFI was SUPERB! 70-75 mbps download and upload, was the only place in Nepal where I got to finish some work and download shows. Breakfast was OK , dinner buffet was good. Rooftop pool had amazing views, though could have been cleaner. Service was top notch, from every staff member. Two elevator broke down during our stay, which made waiting there a torturing experience.

Aloft Kathmandu
Hotel located in good location and linked to a shopping mall so you can have other food options. Although Resturant are also limited in the mall. Room is acceptable with good size working desk and bed. However some part of the room seems worn and may need some “refreshment”. Hot water is good and powerful.

I had a wonderful time at aloft! Rebecca (server at the restaurant) was incredible and kind to me. She helped me when I was having a personal issue and I'm very grateful for her. She was attentive and wonderful. Tsunami was awesome! He was so sweet and kind every time I saw him. He is a very hard worker and does everything with a smile and warm heart. There was another man who worked at the front (when you first walk in) of the hotel but I can't remember his name--he was so helpful attentive and kind.

Amazing location. Close to the best shopping and dining venues in Kathmandu. Really kind and welcoming staff. Strict implementation of COVID-19 measures and above all, great food in the restaurant. Will definitely come back!

I loved the quality staff service. I was disappointed that the spa/pool were under construction. It was one of the reasons I chose the hotel.

Perfect hotel: 100 precent professional staff, very polite and responsive. Nice pool, great food, good wifi and great rooms/shower. 10 out of 10. Was in Kathmandu on business trip, but hotel suits everyone. Close to Thamel market.

A gem of cleanliness in Thamel
Stayed at Aloft before and after trekking to EBC-Gokyo. Really wonderful hotel. A great place to recover after two weeks of heavy trekking. Very clean and luxorious and centrally located in the Thamel tourist area. Very friendly staff nice ambience and good food!

Fantastic hotel. Very high standard, friendly staff, centrally located in the Thamel tourist area. Visited in Nov-20, during the pandemic, the hotel practiced very high hygiene standards.

worst memories of Aloft
I cannot hide uncomfortable. It was a worst of worst hotel in my biz trip for 10 years. I cannot say all things but I would like to say 1 case. After checking out, your employees working on Ground floor, They asked me "did you check out? did you check out?" Every employees asked me like that even hotel guard did.! ( I heard that 6 times) Why should I answer to them? Did you worry about running away not pay? I really wanted to scream "Fxcking Aloft". I have stayed 3 weeks and expected better services before reservation because the Aloft hotel was not cheaper than other good hotel such as Marriot, Ambassodor even Hyatt. However, the swimming pool was like decoration. Nobody swim there. The complex "Chaya", there was almost empty. Nowhere can enjoy. Can you image? that I had to call front every night to turn of the heater.! Change the AC and Heating System. Furthermore, there was no any advantage to long term guest. I wanted to extend just couple of days but you did not accept same price. I paid about 500 USD just for 2 days in small room. It can be variance with my expectation but I think you could consider. Only Bartender gave good image to me. I never never ever visit Aloft again and share everything to our local community.
