"The expectation was of a 4star apartment.The reality was a basic 2star! I realise it was a Cretan style building & have no problem with that but a few modern touches and some comfortable loungers etc would be nice.Crete is lovely and the people very friendly so we enjoyed our stay overall just not the hotel."

"Uitzonderlijk vriendelijk onthaald door de host Michalis die ons verwende met vers brood, eieren, vers fruit, etc. Hij gaf ons ook veel tips voor uitstapjes. Huis is zeer netjes en super uitgerust. Vanuit het zwembad heb je een fantastisch uitzicht. Echt een aanrader! "

"The breakfast was excellent in terms of choices and quality. The dinner was ok, but being a buffet drops the quality. Still good selection, but it felt like buffet. Not really a problem but being a Greek I am used to have better cooked dinner from restaurants, but for buffet style food was still quite good"

"We loved our stay at Meliti hotel, the staff was very nice, and we are already missing the wonderful view. Breakfast was lovely and different every day and the hotel was quiet and relaxing. As the hotel is located equidistant from Agios Nikolaos and Elounda you would be better with a car, although at the bottom of the street there is the bus stop for both places. Nearby tavernas we tried were also very nice. "

"We arrived around midnight, reception was closed but easy to get in. Breakfast was continetal, fantastic. The room was amazing, especially the tub on the patio. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of pillows. The whole room was spotless, cleaned daily with fresh towels. The staff we met were all very griendly and helpful. Location was fab, a minute from the beach and restaurants. "

"Good communication with hotel for organising parking and a later checkout on our last day. Parking at the hotel was close by. Check in was smooth and all staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Lovely large room with balcony and sea view. Our room was clean and tidy with a large comfy bed, air con, fridge, hairdryer, towels, robes, slippers and toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast was included in the price and very good. Close to shops, restaurants and beach. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you. "

"We were delighted w our room w its own private pool. Buffet food was super and easy to change for lunch instead of dinner. Staff were very polite and helpful. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Would def recommend for couples and families. The resort is in a steep incline so less suitable for people w mobility difficulties. Ag Nik is a surprisingly lovely town w great restaurants and shops near the lake. Beach near the hotel was perfect. We hope to go back next year! "

"Niko is a nice spacious hotel with a few quirks that give it character. There are two pools one on the 9th floor which is knee deep and one on the 5th which is sufficiently deep for swimmers. The views from both pools are excellent and each has their oen bars. Sun beds on the 5th floor are for the early birds to "nab" but as the day progresses availability increases. We did not find any problem getting sun longers on the 9th. The hotel.also has a pontoon into the sea for sea swimmers and there is a small sandy beach which we did not use. The room lighting can be challenging so make sure you are fully briefed, we found it amusing but i see there are some complaints. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
