Kauppatori (Market Square) is a public square next to Helsinki’s main harbor. Purchase fresh food, such as traditional meat pastries, sweets and other Finnish delicacies. This renowned square is also near Esplanadi Park, Helsinki City Hall and many other visitor attractions.

Helsinki City Hall is also located next to Kauppatori. This facility features a gallery with free exhibits showing artwork by Finnish artists. Attend a free event in this stunning neoclassical-style building or plan other activities in Helsinki City Hall’s lobby.
Find Kauppatori (Market Square) at the eastern end of Esplanadi, about 12 miles (20 kilometers) from Helsinki Airport. The popular market square is open year-round however, opening times vary by season.
