Once we arrived there, we found that the hotel was closed because of the strike. No explanation in advance. We had to book other hotel suddenly and we couldn't have a choice but to stay at a hotel that is far away. We can't believe it and we don't recommend all of you to stay here.

A little bit dated and our room was next to the reception desk. Staff were lovely, Christmas decs were nice, but missing a little bit of something We didn’t get to explore as the weather was dreadful

This was the perfect spot to stay at the end of a long holiday. We had a beautiful suitte looking over the front gardens. Staff were very friendly and obliging. Restuarant and bar in the property. You need a car to go exploring, but only 5 minutes from Kendal. Would definetely stay there again.

Pleasant stay for a business trip Breakfast was only being served at 07.30am a little late for me however reception did say I would receive a credit note for the breakfast, as yet I have not been contacted about this.
