Charming, comfortable, bright and clean, this property was very close to town but felt like it was in the away from everything. It was perfect for a single, but would be delightful for families. Derek, who greeted me at check in and saw me off, was warm and welcoming.
We absolutely loved the uniqueness of this lodge! At check in the owner was very friendly and accommodating. We were greeted by a warm fire both inside and out and invited to take a s’mores kit to enjoy!
This is a cozy and stylish inn. They have breakfast daily, along with an afternoon candy bar and s’more kits to use at the various fire pits. We had a very relaxing and fun time at this hotel.
It was a nice place. Essentially an upgraded roadside motel. When a guest walks down the covered porch, it reverberates throughout the hotel room. Continental breakfast was a disappointment. Doors opened 10 minutes late (8:10) and nothing was out. Food came out piecemeal over the next 30 minutes but each round was quickly ravaged by the multiple children staying at the inn. Coffee at 8:40. All catered. Later we were planning on having a light dinner but were informed that they were short staffed and were offering a very small selection of a. Few items. There was almost no hotel staff in the building. We checked out the next morning at 7:15. The central area where we checked in was locked. Left our key in the mailbox. Overall I would not recommend this hotel for a couple. At least during our stay it was overrun by young families and kids.

Not What I Was Expecting. . .
The setting of the Lodge at the Cover is lovely. The immediate outside area is well kept and offers lots of places to hang out and/or swim. However, our room had lots of chips in the furniture, torn rug, mold on the shower curtain. . . I did talk to the person at the front desk and asked for the curtain to be replaced, but nothing was done. Ugh!!! While we enjoyed our stay, things kept adding up on the negative side so it wasn’t the stay we were hoping for. We didn’t find out until we checked in there wasn’t housekeeping service available for our two night stay which lead to more cleanup than I wanted to do. Then when we were placing our trash outside the door to be picked up, the bag was so flimsy it broke - which lead to a mess. . . I’m hopeful the “issues” will be addressed as it is a cute property. It seems like the rooms aren’t being maintained and the services are limited.
It’s important clean the rugs that have dog/human stains to make it appear clean.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We’ve stayed at their other properties and appreciate the attention to detail and design. You also can’t beat the location.

Room and bathroom were spacious and clean, great toiletries. Close to main part of town. Check in and out was quick and easy.
Downside was maid service/cleaning. Fresh towels and daily soaps and stuff were brought to you, but getting beds made or sheets changed and bathroom cleaned was not part of the daily routine. For the amount that we paid, I expected to have daily room services.

My husband and I loved it. The Lodge is very guest friendly, which we appreciated. Also, very very family friendly. I'll recommend The Lodge to everyone, especially families.
So clean, so convenient, beautiful pool, evening fires, it's just a great and tremendous place to stay.

Staff was very welcoming. Lovely property with wonderful pool, nice bicycles for use by guests, comfortable beds and within walking distance to downtown Kennebunkport and Ocean Drive.

The lodge was very nice and the staff was very friendly. I would say though that I paid a lot for not that special of a stay. I paid for a cove view but there isn’t really a view at all. If I knew I would’ve stayed in a regular room for a lot less. Also definitely more geared for families, a lot of kids running around and activities for kids. I would come back if it wasn’t so costly!

We enjoyed our time at the Lodge but were disappointed that the heat had been left on in our room. We turned it off but inly later realized that the remote was missing to work the AC unit. Thankfully the adjacent property was able to help. The breakfast was also disappointing. But something is better than nothing I suppose.

An excellent overall experience. It’s clean and surprisingly modern. The front desk closes early but that wasn’t really a problem. You can’t beat the location. Just a short walk to downtown Kennebunkport. They offer plenty of bikes for local touring. It would have been nice if they offered loaner sand chairs but I would stay there again for sure. Highly recommend.

We did not like the moldy shower curtains or the mold on the corners of the bathtub we did not like that there were no towels at the pool and had to go up to the desk twice to have somebody bring towels down to the pool

Loved the lodge! Gorgeous property ! Loved the little welcome area. Trees on the property are lovely. Cute rooms. Pretty large! Very clean and stylish.
The only complaint I have is that we could hear the people in the room next to us like they were in our room.other than that it was great place to stay!. P.S. The bikes could also use some attention.
Very up to date and comfortable. 2 things that weren’t right. When we checked in she had us assigned to a second story room and I asked to change to ground floor because of difficulty of carrying 50# suitcases up the stairs. No elevator. She did reassign us to ground floor room but She reprimanded me for not requesting it on booking the room Initially. I apologized. Also could not get the a/c or heat or fan to work.
Really liked the convenience of bicycles- very quick trip into the town. The overall room was very nice, quiet and comfortable and the location was away from the tourist mess in the town itself. The only thing I would want to see added would be a bit more selection on the complimentary breakfast (only coffee, orange juice and muffins)
The motel was cute and family friendly. The bar doesn’t serve food at most hours, such as breakfast. The rooms were cozy, however, the walkway outside the door that runs along all front doors shakes as people walk along it. I realize after it awoke me very early, seeming like the walls and ceiling had aerobics dancers moving along them, that the hotel supplies earplugs for that very reason. If you’re not looking for quality sleep, I recommend this place. Front desk personnel was very sweet. Bikes are included. So are kayaks and SUP.

After checking in we quickly realized that the neighbors had two screaming and unruly children. They continued to s ream and loudly way into the evening. We asked about moving rooms right before 8pm and were denied.
The noise pollution continued and found out they had locked themselves out of their room. We called the “emergency after hours operator” and no answer for over 15 minutes!! Finally called the number attached on google and spoke to a women who could not care less that the emergency operator was not answering. For over $200 a night this was UNACCEPTABLE. Will never stay here again, terrible service.
