"wonderful people"

"Astir was literally across the street from the ocean. I did not have a full ocean view from my room, but I could see it from my balcony on the side of the building. It was a single room, so the bathroom was small, but the bed was comfortable. It was a lovely room for the price. The staff were very nice and friendly. There was a bar open in the afternoon/evening with a wonderful view of the ocean. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I would stay here again. "

"Spacious and clean private space with excellent air conditioning. A nice outdoor area, with a beautiful resident white cat (please consider giving her some treats, she's so lovely!) Quiet and peaceful setting behind a bigger hotel. A very nice shower with waterfall and detachable heads. The only issue was the WiFi not reaching the property, but this probably helped me enjoy the local area more. "Every staff person we encountered from check in, breakfast, to check out was lovely. This is a family run hotel and the care taken is evident. We were there at a quieter time and they have us a complementary upgrade. The room was fantastic, great views, it was pristinely clean and the bed was comfortable (a king size no less!) Breakfast was amazing- some buffet pastry type things plus your choice of individually prepared omelets. We really enjoyed Lixouri, it is quiet and low key, but...

"We had a wonderful stay in the ground-floor studio at Ballas Apartments. The courtyard is amazing, and the views looking across Agia Effimia harbour are absolutely incredible. ​Stavros was an exceptional, genuinely helpful host who went above and beyond at all times to ensure we had the best holiday. Location-wise, it’s ideal—we easily drove to Assos and Fiskardo in around 40 minutes. The drive from the airport is straightforward, but a hire car is essential for exploring. Highly recommend this...

"No one at front desk—a man arrived but did not speak English; we thought he was a guest but he called someone on his cell phone and handed it to me—a woman spoke with me briefly and then the man showed us to our room. Old refrigerator; door did not close, freezer was full of frost. Very few patrons; good because cheap hollow core doors shut very loudly and marble floors very noisy. We could hear two people arguing on higher floor. 3 min walk to nice beach with an attendant bringing drinks. ...
