Loved everything .have been here several times and have never been disappointed
Room was in a state of repair the wallpaper was hanging off wall was full of dust i have stopped in cheaper hotels with better rooms not worth 100 a night and the room looked nothing like the website
Hotel is very tired as well as restaurant staff. We stayed in the self catering cottage which was comfortable enough however could do with more cleaning. Especially Sofas were a bit dirty.
Beautiful views and short walk to the lake. Complimentary access to underscar spa which had lovely pool, rain showers, jacuzzi, and saunas, restaurant and bar upstairs

Ok hotel.
Firstly, I would say that the room was not worth the £125 I paid for it. The room is OK. Nothing more. The walls are very thin, so much so that when the surrounding rooms put their TVs on in the morning, you can hear what they're watching. The 'shower' was a dribble of either scalding or lukewarm water- no in between. Rattling bedroom door whenever nearby room doors were left to auto close, horrible slippery acrylic bedroom carpet and a nearby barking dog were some of the other low lights of our stay. On the plus side, the late night receptionist was very friendly and helpful when we arrived later than we had expected to, at 11pm (thanks M6). I have stayed in cheaper, nicer hotels- this one was a disappointment, but I suppose you are paying for both the hotel and the isolated location. I wouldnt stay here again.
Loved the location and veiw overlooking the lake, perfect for a long or just a overnight stay, the garden was a perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the lakes
Rummet var visserligen rymligt men det luktade fukt och mögel. Vi bodde på första våningen och hade fönster som var täckta så vi kunde inte se ut. Städningen på bla toaletten var under all kritik. Inget vattentryck alls i duschen. Hotellet hade dock ett bra läge nära sjön, en fin trädgård och vänlig personal.
The hotel is tired and needs an injection of both cash and decent management. Whilst the bedroom and en suite are as clean as they can be, they just need someone to try using the facilities themselves to understand what needs improving. Grey Paint does not solve holes in the bath, rubber eggs at breakfast or staff that tell you that filter coffee is "like" espresso! I know what espresso is and that is why we asked if we could purchase one from the bar instead of the lacklustre filter coffee....but alas this was not possible. Neither did we enjoy the shower with no pressure that you couldn't stand under, or listening to staff conversations outside the room at 4am....or for that matter, our view.....of another room. Oh, and don't be fooled by signs with arrows, they nearly all point in the wrong direction....Best avoided.
Amazing - a wonderful time made especially memorable by the weather

Lovely location - poor housekeeping
Some rooms still need a big makeover we could look past that but the bathroom had thick black mould on the shower head that a simple clean would have, and did remove! The room smelt mouldy and musty and the radiator made such a racket the night porter had to turn the heating off. Such a Shane as the grounds were lovely, the conservatory well refurbished and the staff very helpful. Would stay again but only if cleanliness issues were resolved.
