"Very quaint hotel. Felt like we were staying in a bit of history. Very nice bar and grounds. Keswick is a neat area, with lots of shops and restaurants. Only complaint: the biggest freaking spider Iโ€™ve even seen decided to take up residence in the bathroom. Fortunately it was the last day, so we let him have it."

"Fantastic experience. It was a dreamy room with a dreamy view. The interior of the hotel has got a modern touch while still upholding the traditional, English structures. Every staff member is dedicated to help you with anything you need. They will always greet you and make you feel welcome. The manager/owner checked in personally with us about our stay and we had this optimistic conversation about having Halal options in the near future. Hotel is well equipped with all the necessary features. We were given an iron, ironing board and a fan upon request. Everything was neat and clean. Made our anniversary trip very very special. Thank you Borrowdale Gates!"

"I loved staying in a property that was so old and yet had been made so comfortable. It was a shame that one of the curtains had broken hooks as it drew the eye but the view from our windows more than made up for it. The evening meals were delicious.
