"perfect breakfast. rooms are clean. staff are friendly. Free parking in hotel can be challenging, but there are places close by you can park with charge. In busy times, having dinner at restaurants in the town can be difficult. Either book it early or eat in a different town like Ambleside."

"A great stay, staff extremely helpful and freindly. We arrived with a 6 week old baby and hotel did everything possible to accomodate us. Breakfast was great, in general very enjoyable. Evening meal was very enjoyable though a little on the expensive side tbh. Overall would highly reccommend."

The Three Shires Inn

The Three Shires Inn

8/10 Good
"All the staff we met were great, cheerfull helpfull and polite. The room was clean and comfortable and what one expects in a very old building. Only 4 stars for 2 reasons the shower only worked on the large head and the food choices were very limited both in the restaurant and at breakfast. No salads and limited vegetables in restaurant. No fruit or cereal at breakfast. The hotel is remote which is part of it's appeal for us so going out in the evening is not an option,I would have struggled with finding a third evening meal."
