Premier Hotel Cabin Kielder

"I mean, Northumberland is a beautiful place, and this property was no less beautiful. It is the most eco-conscious hotel we've ever stayed in, with it's own garden, solar panels. and I believe a rain catcher? There's so much wildlife in the area, bird feeders and cats roaming around. We got lucky and there was a bit of clear sky our second night, so we headed to the observatory and got to spots some stars since it's in a Dark Sky Park. It was also a great distance to all the sights in the area, particularly Hadrian's Wall and the Roman Forts. Breakfast was fantastic, staff was friendly, food and drink were great. An overalls really fantastic stay."

"We stayed in the family room which was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Had a lovely meal downstairs in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast the following morning. Breakfast was available at 7am which was perfect for us as we were intending to head out for an early hike. The location was also great for our hike and to the sites of Hadrian’s Wall. "

"We enjoyed our one night stay whilst up at Hadrian's Wall. Gary, Carol and their staff were very friendly, the service was great, the room was very comfortable and the food was excellent in the charming restaurant. Minor confusion on arrival about our booking was quicky resolved without issue (computer problem / booking platform) i.e. what room we had booked and what was included in our booking. Room 5 was spacious, beautifully furnished and immaculately clean with French doors onto a small patio area. Don’t be put off by comments about the approach amongst the nearby residential retirement lodges (peaceful and well maintained) or occasional motor homes parking in the car park. It's quirky and quaint, in the castle's coach stables connected to what remains of a 19th-century turreted country mansion and ruin of a 14th-century tower house (castle)."

And the breakfast spread they put on is impressive (and delicious.) We visited from San Diego and their B&B was one of the highlights of our trip. "
