Ocean Sands Beach Boutique Inn - Stay At the Beach

"Room was clean and the price was right. That being said, I have a few issues. The video service kiosk for check in, etc, staffed by someone overseas, was annoying and impersonal. The description of “1 acre of private beach” advertised was an absolute lie. It is only a few blocks from free beach access, why do they make such an effort to make it look like they have a private beach? Pet fee was 59.99 per night plus tax (acceptable), but is not what the website advertised ($50) Coffee pot in the lobby was empty at 9 am and no one was around to be seen. “Daily housekeeping” was actually just clean towels and emptying of trash. I wasn’t expecting the Taj Mahal at that price but I felt misled."

"We purchased a pet friendly room with the policy stating that your dog was not to be left alone. However the people next to us left their dog alone repeatedly. He would how and bark and scratch and go crazy for hours. I ach day it happened we contacted the staff and they said they had left messages for them and the would fine them. That did nothing for us . Our distance was through the off and we couldn’t sleep at night when this family left the dog unattended. The staff didn’t do anything. Every time we called and after we had paid an extra $125 for a dog friendly room . They never offered to move us or the other daily or apologize or discount our stay. Very disoriented in their lack of ownership"

"Love it here!!!! Beautiful well kept rooms. Staff is awesome accommodating. Rooms are clean lots of items to use like stove microwave refrigerator pots pans plates..they also supply dish liquid soap shampoo. Beds are comfortable and clean. Broom to keep sand cleaned up as best as you can. Great location on beach. Quiet an relaxing. Beautiful ocean view. Would recommend to anyone and will be staying here at all our vacations."

"Very run down. Had to switch to a new room as our first one had a dirty bathroom, the faucet in the tub was falling off, one of the towel rods fell off the wall and the light over the sink only worked intermittently. Next room was cleaner but the whole house place seems like it’s on its last leg."
