"The hotel, restaurant and coffee shop were bustling with New Year revellers. The hotel accommodation is rustic. Rooms are bit too small for the size of the beds - no space for luggage. Plenty of options for a pint or a bite to eat, either in the hotel itself or in the village. Great spot for scenic walks and the smokehouse at the back does some great fayre. Staff are friendly and accommodating. "

"Enjoyed our stay ,staff very good Andy exceptional, loved the bath hot water was a bonus. Great location for touring the area just off main A road and surprisingly quiet. Excellent choice for breakfast. Would stop again. Our thanks to all the Staff"

"Had a brilliant time with my husband and absolutely loved seeing the newly renovated Crieff Hydro, it’s absolutely beautiful. We were there child-free celebrating our 10-year anniversary, so it felt extra special. The meals and breakfasts were outstanding and really made the stay even more enjoyable. Our only frustrating moment was when we tried to have a drink in the adult bar. Unfortunately, there appeared to be only one member of staff on. We sat down for around 15 minutes without any acknowledgment or update that we couldn’t be served, and eventually ended up going to the other bar instead. Such a shame, as we were really looking forward to enjoying that part of the experience. Overall though, we had a lovely stay."

"Reception staff were so friendly and helpful . Proper gym not just a few pieces of equipment with stunning views over the loch . Lovely spa and lunch outside was a treat . Views over the mountains . I had salmon and hubby the fish and chips . definitely recommend . We upgraded our room to a lake view ( worth it ) and a bigger room . Really good coffee machine in the room with nice touches of highland cow biscuits . Bathroom could do with upgrading but overall a great experience . Lots of walks and outdoor activaties to partake in . Well worth a visit . "

" Although the promotional material said there were gluten free options, these were very limited. At breakfast, there was just gluten free toast, no cereal or porridge. Otherwise, breakfast was buffet style, and plenty of it. Evening meal was just ok.My portion of chicken was very, very small, but tasted ok. My side of vegetables didn't arrive, the waiter said I didn't need them, as I had some veg on my plate! Maybe there was some confusion somewhere? My husband's meal was fine. We heard lots of other people complaining. I found the dessert of apple crumble and custard inedible. The waiters tried to be helpful, but the service from the kitchen was appalling. It took us almost 2 hours. We would stay at the hotel again, but would not have an evening meal there."

"We stayed one night as we were going to Loch Katrine for a cruise on the Walter Scott. Our room was clean and comfortable. Tea coffee supplied. It was dated but for the amount we paid it was good. The hotel is quite large and seemed to cater for bus parties. There was a large function suite for the bus parties to dine in. We had breakfast and an evening meal. Our meal was very reasonably priced. The bar is well stocked. We managed to walk into Aberfoyle from the hotel along a path through woods which was lovely as bluebells were everywhere! All the staff were very pleasant ."
