"Wonderful Escapism A treat away for my 50th birthday. Exceptional service throughout our stay from bar and restaurant staff, through to the lovely cleaning ladies. Made my stay very special, fabulous food both at the Pilchard Inn and the black tie dinner. Any little issues were dealt with straight away and am already looking for an excuse to go back again, oh and you must brave it and take a swim in the mermaid

"Hotel has an excellent location, it is right in front of the lighthouse. From the penthouse (at breakfast) you can see the 360 view of the city (kids loved next to the window and pointing out what they saw). Good dining options around and swimming

was excellent I could not get kids out of it. We used the location to travel around different location sin Devon and Cornwall it worked good. The Barcode is nearby with good entertainment and food options too. "

"Although the carpet looked a bit haggard, the room and bed were very spacious, but the lack of AC during a heatwave was.. rough. Room service hours are very limited as well sadly, but there’s plenty of options for a late night meal nearby in the city centre. The continental breakfast was a bit lacking in terms of options, and some things we ordered (like the porridge and “heated croissants”) tasted very processed/chemical. The

"This was a last minute booking as a stopover before our ferry the next morning. We found the place on Hotels.com and were very pleased with the accomodation on our arrival. A beautiful historic hotel, quiet and relaxing. We travelled with our two dogs and were given a courtyard room that allow dogs. Room was very clean and comfortable. Dogs were provided with beds, bowls and some foodie treats. Hotel Restaurant food very good and the spa /

area also good."
